Not April Fools, no really seriously.

    Hey folks!

    This is not a joke.

Between the show's hiatus and getting Fallout 4 for Christmas, I have neglected my writing to a near-criminal level over the past few months. For that, I am tremendously sorry to all my readers.

    Still alive

    No, not a Portal post...

I just wanted to let you folks know, I'm still kicking. I find less and less time to write these days, and have a hard time getting the creative juices flowing when I do get a chance.

What Stormy would post if the Internet still existed

For those who are unaware of what the Australian V8 Supercar race series is, it's what NASCAR could have been had they not been blinded by good-ol'-boys and only turning left.

Hello, old enemy, we meet again

I know I promised a chapter of After the Storm this weekend. I'm getting a mild block right now in that storyline. Can I use the excuse that I was writing with Starscribe all week for this week's chapter of The Eternal Lonely Day? Don't mean to throw you under the bus, Star. But hey, with the engine running, it's warm down here. Just don't breathe in the exhaust.

And now for something completely different...

As you probably know, or have figured out, I am good friends with Lionheartcartoon, who is an animator and half of the husband/wife team DuoCartoonist, who put together masterpieces like Children of the Night and a few other things - and still have more in the pipe (especially if you've perused their dA and/or seen posts on Reddit lately).

Lion and I have known one another for over 20 years. I've done fan fiction and "conventional" fiction for at least that long if not longer, and Lion has graciously brought my creations to life in visual form all along. His work has always stunned me with its quality and attention to detail.

Lion is not just an artist, though - he has come up with some story ideas based on an AU version of the ponies we are all familiar with, with some other character types of his own design. He requested my assistance in fleshing this idea out into a publishable story. We have done a bunch of work on it over the past year or two, and established what you find on my story list under the name Pirate Mares.

This is our first ever collaboration story-wise; previously it was me writing and Lion arting, and the division of work was pretty cut-and-dry. I'm no artist, so I write. However, it looks like Lion has some good storytelling genes within him, because we put together what I think you'll find pretty entertaining!

Like I say in the author's notes in the prologue chapter itself, this has no set release schedule. We're going to throw chapters out every now and then when we get inspired. Lion has plenty of art and doodles for this project, which may pop up in my or his blog as well. As always, please read and review, and thanks!

Interesting. I always felt a little sad that Ponies of The Caribbean: The Curse of the Pink Pastry was never continued. Pirates and Ponies go really well together. Sail ho! then.

I look forward to glorious baked good combat.
