When I saw the EqD Writer's Training Grounds prompts for this week, I just shook my head. I could not see a story there, try as I might, that night and most of the following day. Then I read that Sassy Saddle's cutie mark (not revealed on the show) is pins...
So I wrote a prequel. I knew that I had to get her from a pit of worry over being responsible for failed boutiques to agreeing to run Rarity's new venture. So I sat her down at Shining Armor's favorite hay burger joint from Sisters in All but Blood, drinking hard cider, and began to write with no idea whatsoever what to put down.
Then somebody called her name....
She turned out to be pretty sassy. I like this type of writing. Going to have to try it with my science fiction some day.
