So, somebody recently pm'ed me with this. I honestly don't know what to do, so any encouragement you can send his way would be helpful.

It honestly seems like a scam. Doctors don't prescribe drugs for psychological disorders, psychiatrists do.

3397256 ...And you're probably right, which is why I told you guys to give encouragement, not money. You see, the fact that not only he asked for money, but the fact that he needs so much, immediately set off red flags in my head. However, I still passed on the message just in case he was telling the truth.
I'd rather be taken advantage of than turn a blind eye when I could have helped someone. That doesn't mean I'm stupid with the help I give, though, it just means I still give everybody the benefit of the doubt, even if they spitefully use me.

That the blog is from a two year old account makes me think it's not fraud. I'm pretty sure the the poster really feels that way.

Now whether money is the solution is something else. Once the money is gone he will be right back where he is now. What I think would help far more is for someone in his area to take him by the hand and HELP HIM! Whether that means to help him find a job, or personal motivation, or whatever. He needs someone there in person, not random anonymous posts on a blog.
