    Here's the Deal

He'll slip n' slide on this banana peel.

Anyway, remember when I said "We're Back in Business" I never said I was going to continue to literary part. I'll be open for requests at any time. I'll illustrate covers, OCs, erotic art, anything. However, my only rule is:
They must be humanized. None of that furry shit.
I have the right to refuse a request. Simple as that.

Finally the Finale to the OCA Contest... Jesus Christ, This Took Forever.

"Your streak was just broken..." Gob pulled the hammer back and the familiar clicking of a loaded gun sounded. With an almost sadistic smile, he watched as Vanessa squirmed and wiggled, or tried to, out from under Gob's hold.

OC Hunger Games Round One Results! Pt 1 · 7:14pm Sep 7th, 2015

Welcome to the result blog of the OC Hunger Games! Here, I will list the winners of Round One. I know there are few who haven't submitted a story yet so I'll be nice and give you the rest of today to submit. If you fail to do so, your opponent will win. Okay, the first couple that have submitted a story was...

Kaiber Crystal and Double Moon Flare.

Kaiber's story was short... Too short. So short that I can add it here.

Kaiber saw his foe flying in the light of the moon, it's light illuminated the arena. He then saw her charge and he equipped his saber, preparing himself by igniting the green blade. A beam of magic came hurtling towards him but he flipped out of the path of the beam. As he landed another bolt came but this time his saber rebounded it into his opponent making her fall to the ground. Running towards her she desperately kept shooting magic at him but he kept dodging. He arrived at his weaker foe. She was tired and weakened.
"May the force be with you." he said killing her with the saber.

This was written by AlicornJedi. What's wrong with this entry? Well, he didn't include much of his opponent's OC's aspects. All he adressed was the fact that Moon was a magical Alicorn.

His opponent fared better. Written by HailSpider, he/she was able to include a story plot into the battle story and was able to even include a few characters. His/Her fic is too long to include most of it, but you can read it here. To keep it short, HailSpider took the time to write his/hers while AlicornJedi only got to the battle scene without any transititon, and the story feels unfinished and unstudied.

The winner is Double Moon Flare, By: Hail Spider.

The next one was one I was very interested in. The battle of the elements. Air Vs. Fire. Hurricane Blitz Vs. Candle Light. Both stories were very good and very well written. Both characters were also very well written. Hurricane easily being the best character, given the fact that he had a motivation for his entire battle. Once again, the story is too long to feature here, but you can read it here. However, motivation isn't everything. Remember, I said I'll be judging the stories based of realism. While yes, it was a very smart move to give his character motivation, JumpingShinyFrogs' story was more scientifically realistic and believable. Read it here. Even though both stories were very well done, this has to go to,

Candle Light, By: JumpingShinyFrogs.

Now, the last winner for now. Crescent Blade Vs. Greymane.

Once again, both stories were well written. While Crescent took a more, OP approach, Greymane was more strategic and planned out. Using Crescent's brute force against himself. However, Greymane's writer didn't really end off with his character giving a final blow. In fact, the story itself seems very unfinished. It mostly revolved around Greymane checking Crescent out to see just how powerful he was. While Crescent was able to fight, giving Greymane a challenge in Crescent's story. Greymane's story is in two parts. While strategy is the best thing to do, the story itself felt unfinished and the characters didn't seem to fight at all. The round goes to,

Crescent Blade By: Nocturnis Comics.

Story here.

That's it for now. Just a reminder, I'm yet to the following contestant's stories.

WickedLSDragon
Frostbite14
ObsidionPony
Peewee the Dragon
Titanium Blade

The rest have sent stories. And like I said, if the people above fail to submit before the end of today, they will be disqualified.

I just want to mention that I have no hard feelings against to losing writers today. I'm still grateful they accepted the challenge.

UPDATE

I've received both stories from WIckedLSDragon and DarkIronPony. The minds behind Golden Horseshoes and Crimson Luminance, and it is unanimous. The winner of this Bar Room Brawl is...

Crimson Luminance, By: WickedLSDragon.

One thing that may be good to know is your timezone so some of us aren't screwed over by it.

Okay, these entries are pretty funny. Haven't read them all yet, but the few I have read are making me roll with laughter. Good luck all who advanced.

That was fun! I'm excited for next round! Also, she.
Also, you can't directly link to a private message; that would defeat their purpose.

3375820 Western Standard TIme, North America, 12:24 PM, Sep 7th, 2015.

3375841 So what the links don't work?

Also, we can't see your PMs, even you link them, so the stories that were sent via PM we're unable to see. Could you put them in a GDoc or something similar?

I can't see my opponent's story. Could you put it in a doc?

3375846 Also, since you linked to the PM, I doubt anyone can read my story either.

sigh no matter what type of tournament i put him in hurricane never makes it past the first round, but still it was fun to write out the battle despite having little experience writing stories
also congrats JumpingShinyFrog and Candle Light

3375894 Now I need access :raritydespair: So many obstacles.

3375919 No I only listed the ones who need to submit a story. You're good so far.

3375894 Um... access is denied.

3375929 Oh for god sake!

You know what, fuck it. Just take my word for it for now! I'll figure it out later.

3375936 Just press the button in the corner labeled share, click the advanced option, and set it to anyone with link.

3375841
Well done on the win good luck with the tornement.
May the force be with you.

3376033 Thanks for being a good sport; I wish you luck on your future endeavors.

Would be a bit of a bummer, if i win by forfeit.

I like to win in a clean fight.

3376036
A couple things bug me about your version of the story.
1. Jedi never do necromancy so when I killed you in your version you would still be dead. 2. I hate modern music so I wouldn't be seen alive at a DJ pon-3 gig. 3. Why did you kill me so brutally? 4. The force a Jedi uses for knowledge and wisdom and defence never attack. 4. Lightsabers block magic and are user sensitive so you couldn't kill a Jedi with its own blade. 5. Why was I speaking Latin? 6. My preferred method of lightsaber combat is Ataru mixed with Sorsou this means I'm agile and very good at dodging anything (almost) so you would never got my blade whilst I was alive. 7. lightsabers are cylnders not spheres
That's it may the force be with you always.

How about the dead fight the dead in a different sanario

3376096

Jedi never do necromancy so when I killed you in your version you would still be dead

Pretty sure she wasn't a jedi, just a necromancer.

If there are any, could we see the stories that WickedLSDragon and DarkIronPony wrote? I'd like to see them.

3376096
1. That was Jeff.
2. To be fair, you probably didn't know it was DJ Pon-3 until you arrived. I doubt the letter would mention something that only happened to coincide with it by chance.
3. I didn't think it was that brutal. I could have burned you alive if I had wanted to. (Actually, that would have led to far less Star Was continuity logic holes, even if it's less dramatic.)
4. I'm pretty sure it's actually just his normal telekinesis the way it's used in this story and she's just making up excuses. Which she really seems to like doing. Or not; a stopped clock's still right twice a day. Take your pick; honestly, it's not too important.
5. I knew about the user-sensitive thing; I just ignored it because it made the ending seem more dramatic. (I was actually going to write in a handwave, but I ultimately didn't bother due to time constraints.) Also, since I haven't actually read very much of your story, I had no idea you could block magic with a lightsaber. Would have been useful to mention that in your description so I could find an even more ridiculous way around it.
6. Spells tend to use Latin in other media. Also, according to Google Translate, it means "Don't fear the reaper."
7. Until you clarified that, I had no idea what that meant and I wasn't about to go try and find the answer; Star Wars lore is a tangled mess. Worth pointing out is that you do successfully dodge every other attack. Only the final blow actually hits you.

3376096
Can you please stop using "I" when referring to your character? Your character is just that, a character, not you.

Also it didn't seem a very brutal death to me. There will probably be more brutal in this contest than that.

3376314

There will probably be more brutal in this contest than that.

Indubitably. We're probably going to hit a mature rating by the end of this. :P

3376319 It really depends how far you guys will take it on the third and fourth challenge. If some people decide to go the gory route, then it will be a fucked up place.

3376319
Ironically not so in my first entry at least. Not right away anyway; if I get through I intend to up the ante each round.

3376325 Oh boy... we're going down to dark places, aren't we?

3376326 Yeah, I suppose people will start off mild. I didn't even kill anyone in my first round, simply because I felt uncomfortable with this character, as this was my first bout with her. I've eased into her at this point, so if I advance, she'll be slaughtering things if the chance arises.

Just a heads up, the official winners list for Round One will be revealed between 6:30 and 7:00 PM, American Western Standard Time.

3376328 Especially round three... Well, depending on the character.

3376338 Good gravy, you're scaring me. Can you give us a clue as to what'll happen or is it hush-hush?

3376342 I want to keep it a secret... However I will give a hint.

Note: Freddy Krueger doesn't appear in this contest, that'll just be the theme for the third round.

3376319 I'm determined to never get that brutal, or if I do, do it in a darkly comedic way. Why? Because it's less fun for me to write.

3376351 Fair point. I work on the belief that you should never write about something unless you're comfortable and enjoy it. Some people handle violence well in their stories, others like to keep things lighthearted. In this contest it's especially neat, because it shows what type of characters we like to create and how we like to write.

3376347

So, when can we expect the next event?

3376096 That death wasn't brutal, trust me. Candle Light burned her opponent almost to death. Key word almost. He had to just lay there in pain for a while afterwards.

3376413 Only time will tell. I start school tomorrow so it really depends. Most likely soon.

3376568 You cheeky little man you. Alas, while your theory is heading in the right direction, it's incorrect. Sorry.

3376347

Will all our OCs be turned into Nightmare versions of themselves? :twilightoops:

3376600 Maybe not, maybe so. You'll just have to wait and see.

3376608 Oh gosh. :facehoof: We're on a slippery slope, aren't we?
