    Hi.

I have good news! We finally figured out what was wrong. I’m in the process of getting it treated. It requires two surgeries, one of which I had two weeks ago. It went very well, I’m recovering nicely. The second surgery is scheduled for March 5th.

If you want to know specifics, read on.

    Hi.

I’ve had a few developments over the past week. Hard to say how major they are just yet. They’re each certainly significant in their own ways, but they each also have strings attached to them. I’ll do my best to explain.

To Die or Not to Die · 6:25pm Sep 7th, 2015

There seems to be some saltiness about Shining being immortal, as it makes Cadance seem pushy and selfish or something. That wasn't my intent, and to be perfectly honest, it was a throwaway line that I included on a whim. I really don't care either way, so if you think Shining being mortal would give Cadance a better motivator to do the time shenanigans, then I'll change it.

Badda boom. Fix'd.

I personally didn't really mind Shining being immortal.

I thought the point was neither want to wait 100 years to be parents. It doesn't have anything to do with whether or not he will die.

Don't change a thing.

I just figured schlupping a goddess rubbed immortality off on a guy or maybe the Crystal Heart gave him a extended life. Not immortality, but very heavily extended.

Cadance sounded pushy and selfish, it doesnt matter if shining is immortal or not. That doesnt mean I dont enjoy the story so far, but it looked like she didn't give him a moment to think about the plan of getting him pregnant.

I can second the fact its more how quick she pushed him into the corner than anything else that happened that I do not like. I dont mind that it ends up being a more last resort. or near enough it to not matter. Or even that its what they have to do. The plots the plot, thats fine. The whole lifespan thing, eh, one way or the other doesn't matter to me.
