National Pony Writing Month - Day 2 Second Update?! · 4:53am Aug 3rd, 2012
Wait, what was that I said in the Day 1 & 2 update blog post yesterday?
"I decided not to work overtime and write any more today to make up for yesterday, since my original word count calculation didn't take into effect that there are 31 days in the month of August."
Well that turned out to be a lie. It is now the end of day 2, and mother of Celestia, did I work overtime.
Day 2 Word Count: 956 + 789 + 2290, 4022 words total
"Ah, what the hell. I started chapter 1 today, right? Might as well finish the whole thing." And thus it happened. It was one wild ride that you can bet I am damn proud of, even though everything I've written is only in it's rough draft state so far. I've now written enough to make up for missing day 1, I have an entire third of the first episode completed, and part of chapter three is written as well. This is productivity on a level I can barely dream of most days. And you shouldn't expect it of me in the future, either... unless I really get the urge again. And considering how fun this story is to write, I can't rule out the possibility.
Just 45,978 words to go. Think I can do it before the end of the month? Let's find out!
Congratulations! That a lot of good, solid work. It'll come in handy one day. One day you will want to write, but will actually get nothing written at all. Trust me. Having some leeway is going to be a great help. Still can't wait to see what you have written and keep up the good work!
