One shot sidestory - Twiny's Flu (I need yours advices + voting) · 10:58pm Aug 16th, 2015
Greetings all fans of Celestia's Tiny student.
Since no one likes reading long blogs, I will get straight to the point. I was thinking about writing a sidestory about Twiny having a flu when she still had problems with her surges. This story will be a one-shot and focus on Celestia trying to take care and cure her student while trying to prevent her sick tiny student from damaging her bedchamber. (Basically, Twilight's lack of control and sneezing would have significant consequences).
However before I try my luck, I need to ask for your advice regarding 3 things:
1) Should this take place between chapter 3 and 4 - Twilight is Celestia's student for 3 or 4 years, and she just recently found out about Spike, was foalsat for around 2 years by Calm Song, and tried to talk to Steel Blade and Overwatch. In this timeline she is quite vulnerable.
Or should it take place between chapter 4 and 5 - Twilight is Celestia's student for 5 or five and half a year, she is already teaching Spike how to speak and read, and know Overwatch and Steel Blade a bit better. She is still vulnerable and can't teleport yet, but she's capable to levitate teacup, and climb up onto her mentor's head.
2) Do title: "Twiny's Flu" is good? Or should I use "Tiny Sickness for Tiny Student" or do any of you have a better alternative idea?
3) What would be best reason for Twiny to become sick:
- Should it be a winter, and she ended up sick because she played in snow on the balcony?
- Should it be a winder, and she ended up sick after sleeping while Celestia forgot to close door to her balcony (or window).
- Should Twilight's attempt to drink cold lemonade (or eat icecream) end up with her falling into it, and she caught flu one hour later?
I hope I can count on you to answer on my questions in comments and vote for best option. I am not experienced with one-shot stories, so your feedback will help me alot.

True. While both are viral infections the common cold would be more likely. Influenza is the more serious of the two illnesses, but usually you would only catch it from someone else.
That beeing said, i'm not a medical expert so you better do your research.
I think

2) as for the title i think it should be "Celestia's Sickness for Tiny Student" it is a lot slimmer to "Tiny Sickness for Tiny Student" but just change the first Tiny with Celestia
and 3) I like this idles you posted but I as soon as you brought up twilight being sick the first thing i thought before i read your idles was was shining was sick first and ether he visited her and gave it to her or she found out he was sick and suck off to him and by the time she was found she cough what he had

You actually have a point. I think I will change the title form "Twiny's Flu" to "Twiny's Cold"

6 people voted for it to take place between chapter 4 and 5, so I am afraid I will go with Twiny being a little older.
I am not sure. this title sounds like it is Celestia who is sick or Celestia make Twilight sick. Maybe I should just go with "Twiny's Cold" ?

If Twilight will play in snow or fall into lemonade, she will catch cold, and the symptoms will be quick and not harsh. If it will be flu, she would need to catch it form Shining Armor, best a few days after his visit. The compromise would be for her to catch flu from Shinig Armor, and for it to strike a few days later after she either play in the snow or fall into a lemonade.
Shining Armor sneezes on her, knocking her into a cold drink. D-d-double kill!
