Would you all rather have shorter chapters (1,500 - 3,000 words) and more frequent updates.... Or longer chapters (3,000 - 5,000 words) and less frequent updates?

Short, frequent chapters. Definitely. The longer one has to wait for a chapter, the more likely it is for them to lose interest, and with shorter, frequent ones, the reader is always waiting for what is to come next.
Both? Is that an option? If not I would have to say shorter, unless it's an epic scene of awesome, in which case longer chapter would be preferred.
It depends. I subscribe to the belief that you should write however long you feel you need to convey a certain scene in your chapter.
On an unrelated note, does this mean you'll be updating Ponyville Dashers soon?
How ever many words it takes you finish that part of the story in whatever amount of time it takes you. Oh, thats not an option? Short chapters, then. I guess.

Awlright, good to see you back in the game! Anyway, as for your question, I'd personally prefer longer chapters. They just seem a lot more satisfying to read, and more stuff tends to happen in them. But whatev, that's just me.
Also, I just get really, really tired of having to constantly hit the "next" button for some reason XD
