Hey Guys · 11:25pm Aug 14th, 2015
I'm really sorry I haven't updated Eclipsing Ponyville in, like, forever; I've been dealing with work, school, and other problems so I've barely had any time to write, plus with the lack of inspiration right now it's down right impossible to find a good place to continue at the moment. I promise I'll try to update it as soon as possible. In the mean time, here's what chapter 7's looking like so far. Please tell me what you guys think in the comments below.
Shortly after giving Trixie a little taste of the power that Eclipse wielded, he decided it was best to return home to avoid any unwanted attention. Making sure not to waste anymore time, he started walking home. "Hopefully I won't have to deal with her again; the last thing I need is another narcissistic unicorn constantly basking in their own self-made glory to enter my life. For 14 years I've had to deal with that pathetic excuse for a prince, Bluebood, he's lucky I didn't kill him already. Though, I will admit, at least Trixie knows how to defend herself. Blueblood, on the other hoof, had to have his servants do everything for him." As he continued ranting in his head, hoofsteps could be heard following him as he made his way home, but no pony was seen behind him.
I think it's time to find out why she's following me. One would think that the Element of Magic herself would be better at making herself unseen by anypony. Eclipse thought as he about to enter his home. Just before he opened the door, he turned around and said, "You know it's unbecoming to be following the Prince of The Night in such an unceremonious manner," then he stared directly in Twilight's eyes, "Ponies might get the wrong idea, and wouldn't want that to happen, now would we Twilight?" Twilight was shocked at Eclipse finding him so fast, even though she was using an invisibility spell, "How did you know I was behind you?" she said as she revealed herself, "There's no way you could have known!"
Eclipse laughed at Twilight's naïveté, "You forget I possess an ancient form of magic nopony has seen or used in over 1000 years."
"But that doesn't explain how you were able to find me and how you saw me!"
"I knew you were behind me because I could sense your magic. It was one of the things Night Mother taught me; I'm surprised Celestia didn't teach you about it."
"I was only taught the basics of each school of magic, I taught myself most of the magic that I know now."
