The banishment of any changeling is a painful and terrible process, as well as being akin to a death sentence for most changelings. However, while banishing a normal changeling only requires a painful and dark spell, banishing a princess is much more violent. The entire ceremony is usually held in a very public manner, sometimes including neighbor Hives, and starts with the painful and slow removal of the princess' antennae, the crown looking part.
