So i think i want to be an editor

I recently have begun to consider the opportunity to be an editor on the site.

This didn't just randomly occur to me surprisingly enough I was reading a new story titled My Little Pony: Equestrian Warfighters. I decide after finishing the chapter to try and give the author a few tips that I have noticed make stories more enjoyable to read because while I did enjoy the chapter there were still several mistakes. After the author read my comment he seemed very grateful and suggested that I should edit.

While I do think that I would enjoy this I'm not saying that I am by any means qualified seeing as how I only enjoy editing and don't really enjoy writing unless it is analytical topics such as science or science theory.

So in short I'm not sure what I should do because I am frankly not versed on the ins and outs of how to become an editor nor what's required for the position.
