New cover art for Discord: End of Empires

In my continuing quest to eventually have decent cover art for all of my stories, both old and new, I commissioned some for Discord: End of Empires from Arylett-Charnoa, who previously did the art for my latest endeavour, To Keep the Fire Burning. As you can see, I went with kind of a metaphorical take on the concept:

I always like an image that I can stare at and pick out different items. It took me around 45 seconds of looking to notice that there was text there, but it's still well done overall.

The cake on the banner is a nice touch. I would think that the Celestia liking cake joke would have worn off on me by now, but it is in fact eternal. Discord knows this.

As a matter of fact, since this took place a thousand years ago, Discord vandalising this banner was in fact the first instance of the cake joke in this universe, and he was its inventor. You find still find it funny because you are glimpsing through time to an age when the cake joke was still hilarious and original. This is what it's like to be a fourth dimensional entity, bro. Savour it.
