...Uh, except not really.
Chapter 4 has been on hold for a while and it was simply from the inability to figure out how to make a particular part of it work out. To be specific, I was having trouble working out how to handle the first half.
But, after browsing through some other stories on here, I came to a state of clarity and realized that sometimes less is more.
In this case, Chapter 4 is going to be shorter than I had planned and what I had will be shelved as coming later on in the story or as a side story. It was extra detail that had me writing about Trixie in a way I wasn't really capable of writing in a way I felt... well capable of writing. It wasn't that it was out of character, so much as I can't work it into the story the way I wanted.
So, rather than having a flashback or something like that, I will literally be having Trixie tell her version of her cutie mark story and a couple other moments. HOWEVER, the much requested 'prologue' type of explanation as to how Trixie got to her current world will still happen. As I said before though, less is more and I will be avoiding too much unnecessary detail for the sake of getting the chapter out and getting past a significant roadblock.
So, hopefully we're looking at 2 weeks or less for Chapter 4's completion... Assuming I don't get Writer's block again and fall victim to too many distractions.
