Saw this and thought of that Sad-Faced Spider Queen living in HB's attic. The thing has to be pretty big to run a colony that most likely spans HB's backyard. Nothing like the spiders that we saw in the comics, but we're talking organized spiders with network of webs and particular social behaviors that ensure the survival of a primary individual.
More chapters will come and hopefully more fan art.

I take an out of sight, out of mind policy with spiders. They don't bother me and I don't bother them.
I love that blue one. And those are tarantulas. Not spiders.

And I am supriced that this kind of spider colony exists. I had a colony on my window to kill off the damnit mosquitos but they were the social type that live together and aren't organized more than build one web and one housing cocon.
3298049 Magical Spider Silk. They almost have a quazi-inter-web. There are at least 200 small spiders covering a range of HB's back yard and small parts of the surrounding backwoods that kinda reach into the Everfree Forest. These smaller members talk in a language like static, actively collecting bugs for themselves and the third tier spiders. They also act as spies and scouts. There can be up to 24 members in the third tier and they are mostly the first line of defense to the Queen. As shown, they can run communication. The third tier spiders collect for themselves and the second tier.
There are usually eight second tier spiders. These are of course the primary guard for the Queen and run important errands for her. They are slightly bigger than second tier.
All Sadfaced spiders have many means of attack. From webbing to rose hairs to barbs.
The venom is toxic but not lethal. That still doesn't mean that an anti-venom shouldn't be administered because it can have side effects in the long run.
The Queen Spider rarely comes out of her hiding place. However if she does? It's a bad day.
