It's just a few days away, and I tell ya. I am immensely excited for my first (and possibly my only, but lord I hope not) Bronycon.

Being that I am a lazy ass who is pretty much unknown on here since I don't bloody finish anything to release, nor do I ever really blog about anything interesting, I am there pretty much as just me. Pure ol' plain civilian. But someday perhaps something more...? HAH. First I'd have to do a lot better here.

Still, dreams, man. Dreams.

Regardless! I'm going to meet a bunch of my friends from here, and that is really the reason I look forward to this so much. But for any of you, be you friend, curious lurker, or, dare I even hope, fan, feel free to shout at me if you want to say hello in person. Again, this is my first year going, so I don't really know what to expect or to do.

I'm also hoping that by the time I return my net will be back to normal. Today it seems like it's mostly OK... But still. I've been told there were hiccups this morning. Past four days or so, I've had a couple days of it not working at all and/or pretending like it's working (like I would show up as online on Xbox LIVE and here and stuff) but not actually letting me do anything. Skype wasn't really working till yesterday and things have just been odd. I hate living in the country, so much.

So I have been getting some work done, thankfully. Weirdly, I've been putting a lot of effort into something that a buddy has commissioned from me of all things! He wanted about 8-11K....so I proceeded to write out over 10K of background AU to set it in! This is really different for me, which might be part of why I'm hooked. I'll be opening up with his actual commish bit, which is really me just exploring and kind of defining some of the limits of the piece. So it might not be super good to anyone else, but I'm already halfway through that and it's going well. I've also come up with adaptations of all the major villains through Tirek for this AU, heh. 'Cause that's how stupid I am.

I'm really pleased with this AU and think it might go over super well. It'll be pretty easy for others to get involved in if they so desire. So we'll see once I get the ball rolling. Warning that it'll be Humanized, a pretty extreme AU (with the same characters you know and love), and might contain some mildly adult themes. But check it out anyway!

As well, Merc the Jerk has talked me into helping him with something, another little different sort of project. Between my bad net and a lot of family stuff I've had to help with, I've not gotten involved in it yet. But once we do, expect to see that soon. Once Merc and I actually start working, his excellent work ethic rubs off and we zoom zoom zoom. Should be a lot of character play and feels. I had my doubts in joining in (although I always knew it would be good, don't take that the wrong way), but I think I'll enjoy it heartily.

The Games, Round 2 has officially begun of course. Hope everyone is doing well on that. I might extend the deadline some since I forgot to take into account how busy this time of year can be. Still, not necessary quite yet--so you guys keep working! I really can't wait to see what you guys do.

Other than that, I'm still trying to finish another Grey Tiercel story, putting in some collab time with KartaltheWriter and Tricondon on some Manehattan Chronicles side stories... Been focusing on the commish of course, but also trying to get one of my larger stories going. And ignoring everything else to the best of my ability (which is really, really hard for me).

Focus. Focus is what'll get stuff on here. I'm tired of empty promises. I love my work and want to share it with you, desperately. So be seeing you. And again, if you're going to Bronycon, let's hang, maybe, eh?
