Hello everyone, or at least, all of you that are still here. I know I haven't really done anything in a while on this site, or even been very active in my writing, and it must surely seem to many of you that I have quit writing altogether...
Well, I have to tell you that I have not stopped with my writing or this fandom, nor do I wish to stop. It's just been a very busy and exhausting summer, and I'm already looking for fall jobs (had an interview for one already, hope I get this one), seeing as my summer job is done come Labor Day.
Now, plain and simply, I feel like my writing has just not been progressing along like it used to because, well, I just haven't had the inspiration like I used to. I remember when I could put out three chapters of ADJ (albeit a bit smaller and not quite up to my more recent standards) in under 2 weeks. I could hit 60+ words per minute for several hours straight when I had the drive (and the time), but it's seemingly fled me, and I'm having a hard time picking it back up, especially since I have so much to do all the time.
So, for the time being, all I ask is for two things.
One, patience.
I will get back into the swing of things, it'll just take a little time to get to it.
Secondly, in order to possibly jump-start my own creativity and writing once more, instead, I'd like to help you, the fans, with your own works.
Specifically, with world-building and overall story shaping. I've come to realize that I excel at stuff like that, and would love it if anyone who wanted help in that department could just comment or send me a PM on it. I love helping others and would surely wish to contribute more back to this site in that way.
So, if you have any questions, concerns, or just want to talk, feel free to leave them in the comments section. I would greatly appreciate it.
I have a number of concerns with shaping my story(/ies) and it's(/their) world(s), but send me a PM with an easier way to contact you and i'll get back to you when i've slept.
I know how you feel, I once worked on three stories at once but time and live changed that. As for helping me with my own works just look at my main series on my page, give my your overall thoughts.
I wouldn't mind a bit of help with some world building and story shaping for one of my fics. it's undergoing rewrites so it would definitely help a bit. Maybe it'll jumpstart you back on your fic?
The fic i have in mind is How Love Works. I really want to try to get this out for my readers since i've been in a similar situation with a busy summer and all.
Its pretty cool how despite how busy you are, you're still going to take the time to help out your fans. Your stories are awesome, but you are even better
Don't feel bad Mister Abramus, it happens to the best of us. Heck I just got back on my feet after a funk, mostly thanks to your message about my oc being used in a chapter which inspired me into coming back. I don't really need any help world building since I'm currently keeping my stories in Equestria and my one faithful viewer who helped make of list of monsters to use is all to eager to help story building. Anyways I got off track what was I going to say.......... Oh right! I just wanted to comment saying this funk will blow over like any storm.
