Ideas for stories! Yay~! · 10:56pm Aug 3rd, 2012
I haven't really been doing much in terms of writing lately, but that's changing soon! I would like opinions on my ideas, so I'm postin' this blog full of ideas in hopes that I get opinions!
Idea 1) Cartoon Crossover: Kim Possible. One of Dr.Drakkens machines does not do what he hoped it to do. He created it to completely obliterate Kim Possible. Instead it sent her, Ron, and of course Rufus to Equestria.
Idea 2) Complicated. Four 18 year old girls, sisters seperated at birth. An evil penguin named Pablo. Four golden weapons, more powerful than the Elements of Harmony. Add a pinch of pony, you get one BIG mess.
Idea 3) A Mile in their Horseshoes/ A Mile in their Pawsteps. A take on the phrase "walk a mile in their shoes." The first is a bodyswap, the second pony/pet body swap.
Idea 4) My Little Pony: Science is Magic. A rogue science experiment sucks three teenage girls into Equestria. One a changling, one a draconequuis, and the third split between two bodies.
Edit: I am also thinking of doing a Danny Phantom crossover, possible some anime, and maybe just random stuff that pops into my head and won't let me rest until I write it down. Also, because I like the Chess Game of the Gods universe, I may add a Hippogriff to their little game.
This reminds me of the Kim Possible body swap episode. Really funny episode if you ask me. They were very careful in keeping the whole thing PG. Honestly, I think a lot of people would like to see that kind of episode in season 3. Therefore, it may go well in a reading experience. The others kind of remind me of Powerpuff Girls, in a way. Good, but not so interesting in my aspects.
I'm not an avid fanfiction writer, so I don't know how much my opinion matters. Anything that has to do with transformations peaks my interests, like if the pegasi suddenly turned unicorn and the unicorns turned pegasi. That way they both had to learn their new roles in society, moving clouds and using magic would be new to them. The earth ponies would be there for support. Of course, character growth and maturing personality can mean a lot too.
I'm not big on crossovers, but I know a lot of people who are. I say do what you think would be fun.

Only they don't get ponified once they get there. I really dislike that!
317375 I was actually thinking of Kim and Ron remaining human, so Lyra can glomp them. I was also thinking of having Rufus turn into a pony, but decided against it, because in the series everyone asks "how did your hamster/prairie dog/ferret/gerbil lose all it's hair?" I kinda want to use Fluttershy for that.
317613 Awesome! Hope there will be a lot of Mane Six, KP, Ron Shenanigans! Like RD flying at a freaked out Ron, coz she considers him a threat, and he's just terrified after he sees how scary she can be.
I can already imagine Shego and Trixie yelling at each other before becoming partners, and Gilda bullying Draken XD
Anyways, hope you'll get motivated to start the story soon
Idea #4 has a lot of potential, in my opinion.
A changeling is a creature of surfaces and compulsions, it would be so easy to get lost behind all those masks.
The draconequus is a patchwork, much like the different parts of a personality, only laid bare to the world...with one presumes a great deal of magical power to boot.
And lastly the twin soul, so many many possibilities. Would both bodies be exact duplicates of the original's mind? A division? Perhaps elements of the original's psyche, either by personality traits, our Freud's Id, Ego, Superego model, or the Chinese mystic's Hun and Po intellect/Animal-alla the Incredible Hulk/Bruce Banner?
For that matter, how much of a connection do they retain?
Telepathy? Do they finish each others sentences? Perhaps there's no obvious connection and they switch between clinging to each other for identity and striking out for individuality? Maybe they share their dreams? Our is there only one mind that had to switch back and forth. Really, three possibilities are endless.

I'd suggest number 1. I've noticed people enjoy reading the hilarious situations that result when their favorite characters meet.
Getting Lyra involved as well is bound end hilariously, don't let her get too obsessed though (get bon-bon to pull her back).
