A New Challenger Appears!

After urging from my friend to take an idea I had thrown at him to write and write it myself I am now embarking on writing a story to contribute to the site. Its been a long time since I last wrote anything so constructive criticism is welcome, however I am not ashamed to admit that I don't have great self esteem so I ask that you be patient with me and help guide me into being a better storyteller. I will instantly delete random hate comments so don't bother posting them. I look forward to working with you guys to make this into a great story, even if it means going back to the drawing board and working on my writing. I don't write often so don't expect consistent updates I will try to make a deadline of at least 2 chapters a month if everything works out, but I'm still working on the story ideas and tossing them around.

Spoilers ahead (Still working on the spoiler thing so if I mess it up you were warned )

I'm thinking of having the MCs (there are two) stay on Earth for about 5-6 chapters for character building and a little bit of wilderness adventure before I have them go to Equestria through a method I won't be revealing to those who read this spoiler what do you think too little time spent or should I move them to Equis faster?
