As a competitive smash player, my only means of practicing in the meantime when nobody on the Skype group is on is For Glory. I gotta say, I've heard horror stories of how much NaCl is on For Glory, with people changing tags and taunting every time they think they get a kill. Sometimes, they go to the character I'm playing and try and beat me at my main. Those people usually get 2-0'd
As a Ganondorf main, my goal is not to win. My goal is to disrespect and do things that are completely unnecessary. Winning is my 2nd goal. If I wanna win, I usually go Wario, Lucas, or Bowser. I didn't think the stories were true, cause I really never got a salty man on For Glory that actually went to change his tag to something like "FUK_YOU". That is, until today.
I ran into a guy named "SuPrEmE" as a tag on For Glory and he played Roy. Not a bad game, for I ended up winning 1-0 at 56%. But, the man thought that my down air while he wasn't going to make it back anyway to death by spike was rude. It was, but that's besides the point, because he renamed himself "NIQQER".
Honestly, I just laughed. He kept on insisting that he would beat me with our boy, Roy, and kept losing and getting saltier. Curious, I actually spent 13 games whooping his ass before I changed my tag to "kek" and left.
If you go on For Glory, even if you find a Spamus, Zero Skill Spamus, For Glory Link, For Glory Falcon, or you get disrespected, please don't stoop to the level of changing your name to "U_R_CHEAP".

Another way you could do it is going against Level 9 CPU's. Like, that seems weird to say considering how notorious the Smash AI is, but for reals. One of my friends kept kicking my ass with Ike (while I was playing Roy), and it got to the point that I actually Rage Quit (but, tbh, that's also, in part, because he WOULDN'T SHUT UP GRAAAAAA). So what I did was, for the next few days, I did nothing but fight a Level 9 Ike in Omega stages. I managed to get a pretty good win ratio, usually winning with 2 stock to spare (out of 3), occasionally winning on my last stock, and rarely losing, and even then I had knocked the CPU down to its last stock. When I challenged my friend, the ratio of wins was MUCH more even between him and me.
I don't get it. Why use fighting game terms like "salty" when you're clearly not talking about a fighting game?.

I haven't been on smash in ages... (Mainly cause I'm trying to find a way to dominate people in other games. I have 3 other teammates! So why do 3 of the other team always choose ME TO RANDOMLY TARGET.) but even I knew there would be salt in For Glory (And I've never even gloried! ............er.) Either way. Online tends to lead to salt. (Maybe that's where McDonalds gets their salt for their fries...) No matter what game. xD
3272622 Also I forgot to say if you're gonna make a salt joke about a game, make sure it makes sense first because my 80 year old grandma can tell you that smash is a fighting game.
