    Letter of Destiny, advanced concept

Recently, a friend of mine became fascinated with my book series Maledictum Insania and read all of them through pretty quickly. He became particularly curious what my alternative storyline would have been if I had ended up choosing the ending Letter of Destiny from the first book as the base for the rest of the story. Eventually, he got me thinking about this series again which I considered done

    The end is coming

After about 7 years of writing, it is finally happening. The Maledictum Insania series is almost completed.
I am on the last few chapters of the final book. Very soon, this biggest story I have ever written will be concluded.
It is true what they say. You look towards the end of your major projects with both a laughing and a crying eye.

    Obsidian's Theme Songs

What is this? A new blog post! Oh my gosh! Jokes aside, I wasn't planning to make another blog post ever again. But perhaps there is still someone out there who enjoys reading this.

    Guess I finally managed it...

I noticed I am no longer getting comments and hardly any views on new chapters at all. I guess I finally managed to bore all my fans away due to my slow update speed. I am eternally sorry for this. My books never were all that successful to begin with and now I seem to have reached the point where I'm not even writing for anyone but my two pre-readers anymore.

Guess I finally managed it... · 7:59pm Jul 23rd, 2015

If anyone is reading this, please forgive me. I used to be much more dedicated and I'm sorry I made those approximately 100 people following me get tired of waiting.

Thanks. If people dont leave behind comments, theres practically no way for me to know who reads my work, so I highly appreciate hearing my reader's thoughts.

3265762 also, on the subject of not reading, I openly admit that while a have favourited MI3, I have only read a small part of it. The reason for that being that I want, if at all possible, read a story in a single go. And as I have read MI1 and 2 in one day each, you can see that I want the excitement to last a bit longer than reading chapters as they come out. Hope this clears out any misunderstandings.

No misunderstandings in the first place. That is your decision and you are free to take it in any way you like.

3268117 nono, I meant it to not think that I am currently reading any of your stories as they are released, since I am just waiting for it to be finished so I can read it all at once. Hope this clears it out:)

3269310 and I'm sure you also don't mind the conversation with me;)

3269337
Indeed, especially since you are the only one who even bothered to respond

I am still here, mate. I only come on this site mostly just to read your stories and post chapters of my own. Sorry I didn't reply, I don't get email alerts for blog posts here except new chapters. I only just saw the alert at top just while I was posting mine now. What are the views like on fanfiction.net at least for this story? Still, I can't believe views had gotten that low now here. :ajsleepy:

Im not exactly sure how the new statistics system works, but the view on all chapters of MI3 are very low. Where I used to get over 100 on the first book, it is now less than 40, of which many are from me while editing.

3289358
I understand the statistics on other site but I can't figure out the ones here.

I think most readers prefer moving on to new books being written than reading continued series ones unless they are a fan of your work like us. Maybe the overall size of the series just got to the point it frightens readers on its size now.

It's up to you, mate, if you want to finish this book. Personally I will be happy to read this book till the end. But I know a low fan base can lower a writers willpower to write and I don't want to push you if you don't feel like it, mate.

I have to finish it. Even though most is out of my head at this point, I still sometimes get this urge to keep writing. Its my biggest and best story yet, I just need to finish it to finally be able to rest.

Hey, wow am I late responding to this. But, man I get why some readers have been turned off one by one in your stories, it's simply the type of story you're writing, it's darkness in a land of colorful ponies. But that's not enough to kill a story, just look a Bronywriters serial killer fic. You unfortunately made one big mistake when you started this series, you didn't spread word of yourself.
It's a problem that kills the best stories, as stated, the length of this series has extended to the point it scares new initiates. I admit I don't know how to even fix this error except for branching into new stories and creating new fans.
However, I personally love your stories and am working through them happily. You have also earned my respect. Many authors facing a lack of readers quit, and disappoint their fans. You haven't done this. I hope that you enjoy writing the rest of your series, remember why you started this journey, and don't let it get you down.
Keep it up and enjoy the fact that you've earned praise from more than a hundred people, though a grammar/spellcheck never hurt anyone. :moustache:
Love your work! VL

Thanks. I definitely will finish this book, but i guess that will be the last thing i actively do in the fandom.
I will still stay around, but not contribute anymore.
