Where have I been. I could attempt some yarn about how I was circling the drain or something overly dramatic full of the type of pseudo symbolism that the going through puberty set thinks is edgy and dark. In reality it's a lot of navel gazing and thinking you understand something more than you actually do or being overly disappointed when things don't work out because of a lack of experience,

My Little Pony: A New Generation (2021)

There is or was a debate that carried on after the end of the series My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic that centered around the leadership of Twilight Sparkle. This debate came up when the general plot of the movie I will be reviewing became public knowledge. The backstory of the movie is that somehow magic was lost, the three types of ponies were no longer able to get along and because of

Maybe it's just me but, at a certain point one must consider their lunch or dinner choices before heading into traffic. You see, traffic is a cruel mistress. It slows up, bogs down and in pretty much any other way it can will make your life difficult. Add into it a sizeable Mexican meal and it becomes the slowest most arduous race against the devil to get home and not ruin your pants.

    Galaxy of Terror (1981)

Pony Tale Adventures has been put out to pasture at the C&D ranch. It was a bit disappointing. The art assets, sound, and general introductory scenario were charming (at least on the safe for work version). It's a shame that we will never see the title make it to fruition. That said the end result wasn't a complete surprise.

So, where have I been. I mean honestly this has been the first time I've submitted anything since July of last year. The truth is I've really been absolutely nowhere. I've weaved my way through the many days avoiding angry crowds of one stripe or another. I've paid my bills mostly on time if not for the laziness of the local parcel services I'd be on time. I've worked at my job and one foot

Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers (1988) · 7:36am Jul 17th, 2015

If friendship magic is the most powerful force in the universe and Princess Celestia is the most powerful alicorn in the world, why doesn't she have any friends? Has anyone else noticed this? Celestia doesn't hang out with anyone. Her big skill is she can raise the sun. So in other words she is skilled at turning the light on. She used to be able to turn the light off too but, I guess her shorter sister who has to monitor all of the world's dreams took that job too.

Celestia throws a huge party once a year, greets her guests then hangs out in the corner thinking, "Boy, this party is boring." Princess, you have to mingle, schmooze, get in on some of that socializing action. If you don't, every time someone doesn't text you at an appointed time you're going to be up in their business, and they'll fear that they're going to be sent back to magical kindergarten.

Make some real friends Celestia. You're the main princess. Your hoof should be on the big red button, the ultimate evil deterrent known as friendship. It would be nice if you could push the button in times of trouble in case the bookworm is otherwise unable to do so. I worry about these things.

Speaking of being unable to finish the job in times of crisis, Donald Pleasence is back as Dr. Sam Loomis in "Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers." Apparently being blown to smithereens isn't enough to keep either of these guys down. Loomis however, looks the worse for wear what with the cane and scars; Myers on the other hand, well it just made him sleepy. Unfortunately, for an ambulance crew he's done with his power nap and is ready to get back to the slicing and dicing.

This time his main target Jamie Lloyd who has a psychic connection to the mask wearing psycho. The role of Jamie was played by Danielle Harris in what is one of the better portrayals of a child in peril. Not to worry though, there are plenty of teenagers to get in the way and a mob of drunks, police and one messed up Loomis to do what they can to stop the titular villain, with explosive results. Considering a sequel was made shortly thereafter, one can only assume that Princess Celestia gave them pointers on how to handle a villain. Even so it's a lot of fun.

The totals: 16 dead bodies, 2 breasts, Face Smashing, Gun Stabbing, Gun shooting, Throat Ripping, Reckless Driving, Drunken Mob shenanigans, Michael Myers impersonators, Thumb to the forehead, Electrocution, Fog, Scissor work.

Special Shoutouts to:
Donald Pleasence for being awesome in the role as always and for answering the question as to what could cause all this damage, "Evil."

Ellie Cornell for giving Michael Myers as good of a beating as she got from him.

Danielle Harris for begging Ellie to, "Come alive."

Kathleen Kinmont for her role as Kelly Meeker and doing it by the book and for saying, "Wise up to what men want, Rachel... or Brady won't be the last man you lose to another woman."

and finally Carmen Filpi as Reverend Jack P. Sayer for hunting evil in his beat up old pickup and and for giving Loomis a ride into town.

Check it out.
