Decided to post this blog because the voting period on third round of the OC Slamjam—an interesting contest being run by Obselescence—is nearing its close. Due to the longform nature of this contest, it seems that a lot of people have lost interest and votes have been much slower in coming this round. No one's cast a vote in the last 24 hours, for instance.
Whether or not you've cast a vote in the past, I implore you to check it out now and throw down a vote or two. There are a few brackets that could benefit from some extra votes for sure. It really doesn't take that long—each individual story is 3,500 words max—and I'm sure the competing authors would really appreciate it. So, if you're so inclined, use the link up there and have some fun reading and voting!
And yes, I was in the contest at one point. Let it not be said whether I'm still in it or not. I'm just signal boosting it because it's one of the more intriguing and involved writing contests I've ever seen and I thought it could benefit from some more attention.
