Journey of the Core, Update Two: Songs Are Hard to Write, or, Words Words Words Words Words Words · 12:21am Jul 2nd, 2015
A wild update appears!
Journey of the Core is progressing swimmingly. I've already written over sixty thousand words, spanning only two days of the story--and there are a lot of days. Why, you ask, do I have so much content for such a short time period?
Groups. It's time for me to give a little more insight as to the structure of this story. As I said in the last update, the ponies are going from country to country--they're going to learn all about the culture. So, they're going to go to a major city in each country and split up into groups, each having different experiences. So understandably there's a lot of content. And there's also a day set apart for the country's entertainment--and I've got a lot of great stuff planned for that.
Also, songs. Songs everywhere. There's going to be a lot of songs; in fact, there'll be at least one song for every country. I've already made two for this one. The two I've come up with so far are called "Dear Me! (Welcome to a New World)" and "You Always Have a Purpose".
In addition to the usual structure of countries, there will occasionally be some mini-arcs. I've got some fun ones planned, and there'll be one in this country.
And here's the new stats for the story (you can get the previous ones in the last update):
Word Count: 60.551 words
Lesson One: Part Six: You Always Have a Purpose, or, Not a Swan Song
