I hate that I can't draw, I really do. I hate that I need something RIGHT ON THE PAGE to work with so that I can put even low-quality stuff out.
What I LOVE, on the other hand, is that when I trace something, I can make modifications, and it'll still resemble what I traced. That, and I can work with, for example, this image, and end up with something that only mildly resembles the image in one way - They are both obviously mares of gen4 MLP.
I took the linked image, traced the general head (No right ear, no body, no hair), and ended with a pony drooling over a hotdog. They don't look that similar, IMO.
Also I'm tracing and modifying images of ponies from the MLP wiki (because I suck at drawing, even though I've had art classes through eleven of the past twelve years) so they look like how I imagine the characters from Chronicles of Urban Warfare, which may be going through yet another name change. I AM UNORIGINAL WHEN IT COMES TO DRAWING AND NAMING AURGH
Heh, Join the club of people that can't draw, myself included. At least you can write, right?
