So, I'm back.
"Where've you been?", you might ask. Well, let's just say life decided to hit me full in the teeth.
My new job ended up taking a lot more out of me than I expected, so the "Hour-a-day" thing quickly went out of the window. Not to mention that there's been all manner of pleasant distractions dragging me away from my keyboard, the XBOX being the prime culprit.
I don't want you to think I've lost interest in my story, however. If anything one of my problems is being hit by inspiration for later parts of the story that then distract me from the present chapters. Not to mention certain introductions to the MLP cannon have called for a rather serious re-writes and reassessments of certain interactions and meetings that have yet to happen, (and in some cases now never will. Darn you, Fiendship is Magic).
And then of course there's been the more obvious lack of inspiration to even put finger-to-key.
But its not all doom 'n' gloom; thanks to the patience, help and a reasonable amount of prodding with a sharp stick from the lovely Llnicol90 I'm please to announce that the next chapter of Where the Heart is is now nearing completion after nearly (over?) 3/4s of a year writing, editing and completely rewriting. Let's just say I've trouble writing Stardust sometimes...
Anyway, the next chapter "The Graveyard Shift" should be with you by week's end at the latest. The following chapter "Last Orders" hopefully shouldn't be far behind.
Also, look out for slight tweaks and edits to previous chapters. I'll blog as and when these happen.
