I'm a quasi-professional internet technologies specialist who dabbles in fanfiction. I write, draw, and sometimes edit. When I'm not creating, I'm sleeping. Mornings are my mortal enemy.

INFO DUMP! WE HAVE AN INFO DUMP!

In the arcane arsenal of The Grand Archmage, therein lies six powerful curses, often called The Deadly/Lethal Casts. Very few mages can cast these, as it requires a high concentration of mana and mental focus to even begin casting them. The stain they leave on the caster is also considerable, often leaving scars or removing limbs during a successful cast. These spells are thus reserved for The

I think I've watched Die Hard too often.

Anyway, I want to apologize for the very LARGE, very glaring lack of updates. I'll explain in a little bit here. Real life has not been kind to me... Let me explain. (No, this not be a Princess Brinde reference]

See, back in late May, I got news from the community center I use for internet servie that they will need to close the computer library down for an ESL/GED class that was being held by the local community college. What did that mean? It meant that from June until November, I could not use the computers at the community center. I was now at looking at six months of no internet access.

I thought I might still be able to write if I could install my hard drive back into my old desktop. Unfortunately, my desktop is all kinds of FUBAR; it would ot boot up at all, no matter what I did. (All it would show me was an option screen, and a counter indicating how many kilobytes it had scanned, though I couldn't tell you where those kilobytes belonged today.)

So, I was pretty much SOL in terms of computer. But, after some wheeling and dealing, a good friend of me was able to secure a netbook for me. It didn't have an operating system on it and I still need to do some work on it to really get it to work right, but it is salvable. Right now, I'm running this with Android x86, using Kit Kit 4.4.2, off of an eight giabyte SD card. It's not a perfect solution, the "N" key doesn't always register a keystroke, but it'll work until I can get the internal hard drive to behave better. My portable Linux distros show that the drive has "superblocks" that won't be overwritten. Once i figure how to get around that obstacle, I think I'll get Zorin OS 9 installed on this thing. (I only have a gig of RAM, so a more modern OS will break this thing.)

Tomorrow, I'll be meeting with a friend of mine in town who has a Win7 machine that I can use to access my portable hard drive and access the version of Chapter 39 that it relatively complete and I'll upload it to Google Drive so I can continue updating it there.

That's all for now. Until next chapter, I am The Wolf Who Writes Prose!

Lupi sumus, faciemus manseris!

Yeah, I hear ya on the chapter length. Hopefully future chapters won't be so... epic. :rainbowlaugh:

3185626 I shouldn't be one to talk; Chapter 38 was what? Fifteen thousand plus words long? And Chaptersw 39 & 40 promise to be well in excess of 20, 000 each. Though, in terms of world building, it is necessary that I explain just how the Terran Empire came to be.
