Hey there everypony! I hope you enjoyed the newest chapter of The Noble Guardians! If you haven't read the chapter, please do so before reading this post because it DOES CONTAIN SPOILERS of the outcome of the fight.
I just wanted to explain some of the minor points that others may have been confused about. The first and foremost being the Spartans' shields. I would like you to think about this: A MJOLNIR energy shield can take multiple bullets and blasts of plasma, before finally breaking, but one solid kick from an elite or brute on higher difficulties will obliterate them. I believe that this is because it is easier for MJOLNIR shields to deflect smaller projectiles, than larger ones like an elite's fist or a pony's hooves will have a much greater effect. So, this explains why Noble's shields fall after just one solid buck, but can withstand several magical blasts from the Princess. They were designed to block energy weapons like plasma, and that's what they accomplish best.
Second, some of you may have thought that Kat picked up Unicorn magic just a bit too quickly. But really, Kat is an analytical genius, and from what I can see telekinesis is something that anypony can do, hell filly Twilight could use it after reading only half of an instructional book, I think Kat can figure it out. Plus, I had already hinted that Noble would find themselves unnaturally situated to their new bodies, simply so they weren't stumbling around just trying to walk.
The Armor Lock scene: Okay, this may have seemed to knock Jorge out of the fight unfairly quickly, but he was being blasted by an attack that left Celestia herself drained of almost all her magic. Honestly, it's a miracle that he's even alive. I want to be slightly realistic here and say that Armor Lock isn't something that makes the Spartans 100% invincible, but rather a panic button that allows them to survive something they have no right surviving. Jorge was blasted with a solar flare, he should be lucky that he wasn't cooked to perfection inside his own armor. For those of you who think that Jorge accomplished little in this fight, just think about how if Celestia hadn't exhausted her magical energies by the time Six jumped her, she would have been ash. Talk about taking one for the team.
And lastly, Celestia's near-victory over Noble Team. When I was writing this, I wasn't trying to portray Celestia as wiping the floor with Noble until Six came along to save the day, I was trying to show Noble, working together to whittle down Celestia's large amounts of power, and weaken her enough for Six to finish the job. You can see that the only times one of them stupidly runs out to get her attention, and just as quickly is brought down, is when Celestia is threatening to finish off one of their own. She is only defeated by Six because of being so overwhelmed by exhaustion and pain that the rest of Noble is responsible for.
So, that's my explanation. Stay tuned for the next chapter, in which Noble learns of an ancient prophecy (y'know, another one), and they receive their new orders. I hope you enjoyed this post, and I'll se you in the next chapter of The Noble Guardians!

I still wanna see Jorge use Kat as a replacement for his lost weapon.
Also please don't let Kat near any type of vehicle. Worst driver ever. Of all time.
I definitely liked that you went back and explained this. Even though I didn't comment about Celestia wiping the floor with Noble, it defiantly was a pleasant and more realistic surprise, as most stories have Spartans wipe the floor with Celestia.
247760 Yes Kat is definitely the worst driver, which is why you put her on the Hog's gun and a Marine in the side with a rocket launcher. Fun fact, Kat can lock onto personnel with the Missile Hog.
nice of u to tell us this. few athors explain things like this.
