Just a general announcement to folks here. After getting a surprisingly large amount of feedback, all quite helpful, by the way, a new cover has been chosen. The votes are in and I tend to agree with the voters on this one: Option 3 was the clear winner, and so "The Iron Horse" now has a new cover! (The original post can be found here.)
The Winner!
I think this is the right call. The background is more eye-catching even at smaller resolutions, the removed text allows me to use a larger image of Turing Test, and it has a more interesting use of the gear motif. A lot of folks voted for option 2 (it came close!) and even a few for option 1, and I still may end up using those in the future for other projects (or I may end up using them if other readers hate the new cover).
Regardless, everyone who gave me some help deserves some recognition and my gratitude regardless.
