About that 100th episode...

So there have been an incredibly unnecessary amount of reviews out there and I just thought: Hey, I should make my own!

Nah... Actually, I just want to share my thought with you very quickly:
I loved the references.
I loved the fanserivice.
I liked the humor.

That said, I've read many comments saying it was awesome, while others (significantly less) said they didn't like that for the (sort of) anniversary of MLP they did something it did not represent. Something that was indeed entertaining, but just not what you often see in an actual episode.
I also like that this episode killed a lot of fanfictions. Like, a lot a lot of fanfictions. Much like when discussions about the canonity(?) of the comics is debated.

Also... Shipping... Ugh... I'll leave that topic for another blog entry, but for now, let me give you all reviewers and review watchers a message: Stop taking interactions between characters as a reference to accept headcanons. We saw Octavia and Vinyl as roommates and of course you guys think it's an immediate invitation to shipping. Same thing with LyraBon.

I don't think you should abandon your headcanon or that you shouldn't help it by referencing episodes from the show. In fact, that's the best way to fueling it. There's a lot of potential for many ships that you can exploit. The problem is when you believe LyraBon is canon just because of their dialogues, even though they even said "BEST FRIENDS".

Seriously, I don't care about how crazy a fanfic can be. I even enjoy it. But come on, don't think the writers will make a ship canon just to please the fans. Although it can happen, this is MLP we're talking about.
