Learn to love the writing, of telling a story that you want told, and not the recognition that comes with it. When skill and passion atrophy, write for yourself, and in time, you'll inspire others.

    Calling all my Former Proofreaders

This goes out to everyone who has helped me with my stories these past few years. Firstly, thank you so much, I could never have gotten as far as I have without you. You've been inspirational, a pick-me-up, and oftentimes good friends when it came to what I was writing and dealing with, as have all the fans who have read my works. Again, I thank you all for being there with me through

    Major Update

Wow, it's been nearly a year since my last blog post. Time sure has flown this year, what with two jobs, a lot of work on some of my stories, and a great deal of time spent trying to make sure it all comes together.

    Commissions and Rules

Should I take them? I have been contacted in the past concerning them, though decided against it at the time, and would be tickled pink if people actually wanted me to do such. However, I would likely have a few ground rules.

Inactivity and a Pick-Me-Up · 2:18pm Jun 16th, 2015

I haven't been all that active on this site for a bit now, or in my writing in general. I would place the cause of that on my summer job (a zoo), but then again, it's mostly me. I'm just so tired most days that I find it hard to try and muster the energy to write much of anything, seeing as I have plenty to do at home as well as at work. That, and I'm almost always distracted with other things when I do have free time (like Youtube), that... I don't know, it just feels hard, all right?

I know I promised to release stuff more frequently after I graduated college, but it's been quite busy on my end, far more than I had planned. So, in an effort to try and revitalize my writing, I'm asking something of you fans: would you be so kind as to leave something for me to read in the comments upon my coming home from work? It can be questions, comments, ideas or just about anything. I'm really in the mood to reply to almost anything, so do whichever you want. I've always found that I live off of comments/questions, as they make me think, and thinking really helps me get back into writing.

I really want to get stuff back out to you guys in a timely fashion, especially since I've promised such things in the past and actually delivered more times than not. Plus, I'd like to make progress on stories (ADJ, White Squall) that haven't been touched in some time, especially since just leaving them sit there longer without working on them is just driving me bonkers.

So please, if you wish, help me out, okay?

(Note: this is not a cry for help or anything like that. I just need real contact with the fandom, contact I've not had for some time now.)

Have you seen the 100th ep yet?

If so, how much was your mind blown and what are your top 5 fave moments in it?

Don't feel too bad about not touching stories. I've been like it too especially with the new games i got on steam. But i did get a spark recently so i'm going to let that burn as much as it can. The important thing is that you try to write.

Have you played XCOM?

I can sort of understand the whole not feeling up to writing after a long day at work, my 12 hours do the same to me :trixieshiftleft:

I get some down time to scribble at my own works though, so I'm sure it's nothing as strenuous as taking care of animals at a Zoo.

Sorry, I know this isn't much, but as always, I'm at a loss to speak about myself :unsuresweetie:

I know that feel, bro.

All I can offer is my collection of horse words and the promise I can talk your ear off about Breaking Bad and Kingsman: The Secret Service and just about anything else if prompted.

Welcome back. It is good to see the return of someone with a reach that goes from " A Friend to the End" to the " Royal " Talk" " looking forward to your work on some of the stories you have out there now or even new ones.

3154021 Other than this bit of "why can't I control my life sometimes", rather good. Nice job, finally out of college, writing talent at it's highest point yet (quality-wise), and today I went and saw Jurassic World. Two words: nostalgic megaboner.

3154086 I actually have not seen any of the newest episodes, and that includes all of season 4 and what has premiered so far of season 5. I don't really care for my own personal headcannons anyway, seeing as I prefer being flexible to what my story needs. Also, I have never played XCOM.

3154195 What exactly is your job? Overall, at the zoo, I cut grass (riding lawnmower, push mower and weed whacker in equal measure), haul/shovel woodchips, remove feces (and then haul them with a tommy-lift truck to a waste station), prepare food, feed the animals, drive out to get groceries (donated by local businesses) for the animals, clean paths with leafblowers, educate the public, help with construction/renovation of new/old exhibits, clean bathrooms, clean the kitchen (where animal meals are prepped), open or close the zoo at the appropriate hours, and generally just do what needs doing. Some days I've done all of this, while other days (most of them) only a bit of these things.

3154247 Thank you for your support. I am rather interested in seeing Kingsman, only... the plug that "it's more badass than James Bond" somewhat irks me. Yeah, this movie is cool (from what I've seen), but how can it compete with nearly 60 years of Bond? The very definition of cool?

3154447 It's alive!

3155628 Well, we'll see how that goes, but I am not done writing new stories. I just need to not stress myself out over not getting much (or any, in some cases) writing done, and then it'll all flow back to me... I think.

watch reviewer check out a few livestreams, Like thebronyshow at 9pm est mondays or winchester wednesday at 9:30pm, both found at thebronyshow.net

3155965 It harkens back to the classic age of Bond, with over the top plots and colorful villains. Plus, it's just a plug. Plugs are never a reason to see a movie. A stranger's recommendation on the internet? That you can take to the bank.

Also, so fucking hyped for Specter

I say take whatever time YOU need. We already know that you're going to write someday, and we can wait. What won't do us well is hearing how you're suddenly ill or injured because you've pushed yourself too hard. We will always wait for your amazing stories, and we all know you can't rush greatness :D

And always be sure to have a really good song fav'd on youtube :D

3155965

Your job sounds much more fulfilling than mine, I'm a security officer (one step below rent-a-cop) that pretty much works exclusively with truckers and their dispatchers. I'm basically a uniformed secretary.

All while getting a little over minimum wage, and a boss that laughs when I ask about a raise, even though I've done the job flawlessly for years now.

I'd way rather work at your place, but I've no college behind me :trixieshiftleft:

3155965 I suppose that makes sense. Knowing what happens might alter your perspective and thus your fic. But I do recommend seeing the 100th ep at least so you can see what they did to the background ponies. Tis silly and shouldn't affect your story at all.

Abramus,

Please keep writing. It's pretty rare to find someone whose writing I consistently enjoy on this site because of the nature of Internet Writings. But I like yours. I know it can get frustrating to struggle through a story, or just lose inspiration halfway to the end, but all I can say is that your work makes people smile.

It's not much, but if there is anything you need to make writing easier, from a kind word or a little help on how to phrase something, all the way on up to proofreading or editing, just let me know.

scathecraw

Abramus.

What'cher up to? How're you doing? How's the job going?

3270339 Just trying to find the inspiration to write pretty much anything, really. 5 year HS reunion coming up, work is still going very well, job interview for fall work coming up as well, and trying to lose some weight in the meantime.

Really, it's just the fact that I feel no inspiration half the time that stresses me out the most: come on, I know I can write!

3272266

I know your inspiration issues T.T I've written less than 10,000 words in the last three months or so :facehoof:

Good luck on your interview, and enjoy your weight loss :rainbowkiss:
