Where I was the last week

Yeah, so I was pretty much offline for a solid week, not much fic progress either.

I was away for work unfortunately, and due to the nature of my job I don't really have access to the internet and electricity when I'm out. I mean, pics below are my daily work commute.

    Updates and Other Tidbits

    Happy New Year

    First on the list:

I'm currently working on the next chapter for 'I Come From a Land Down Under', and am making decent progress. It's a bit of a difficult one and Christmas and all that. Still, pace is good, so hopefully it won't be too long away.

    Secondly:

Spoilers for the Season Six Finale - Fic Incoming

    Hi all,

Just a quick update letting you know (warning?) that I've spent the last six hours writing a short little first chapter (9000 words is short) of a Chrysalis versus Thorax fic that hopefully will be posted soon through the approval system.

Hue, I got banned from Chat's Conversion Bureau Group (Joined to see what all of the recent fuss was about) without even being able to post a single comment.

I guess one of the mods must know of me, or something, and were threatened enough to just ban me outright because they saw my name.

Funny thing is, the fics I've written featuring TCB are some of the highest rated TCB stories on this site.

Can you link me the group? I want to shit post.

They only accept shitty authors.

That's a load of bull.

That said...sounds like a pants on backwards kind of group

I wouldn't suggest it. That's what I'm supposed to say By all means, it's not hard to miss and you are a free-thinking individual...

But that won't really achieve anything anyway. We're talking mods that ban users willy-nilly, they'll probably report you to the site mods or something and cite harassment.

I don't really care about being unable to now participate in their forum discussion, I just find the situation and their insecurity hilarious.

I joined.

I am now forever blocked from commenting on her stories.

I can still post on the group though.

Though it annoys me since her newest story is set in Hong Kong.

Dropbear, that is pretty bullshitty of them.

3143651 Why are their pants backwards, you may ask?

Well that is simple, it makes it easier for the members to take it up the ass with bad fiction.

~Crystalline Electrostatic~

I got banned just for being in HaS.

Guilty by association.

3143652 I've yet to garner attention from the site mods except somehow having a thread full of NSFW pictures in one of my groups. They know about it and yet do nothing... KEK.

That's.... what? I understand ban-hammering someone for being a pest, but getting banned for signing up? My only guesses would be one of the mods has a raging boner for any kind of power, or someone in the group just hates your stuff, or maybe you in particular.

Though I suppose it would also be dependent on what kind of CB stuff they do. I know there's a group that's all about ' Teh ponehs will save us from ourselves!' That group can go ahead and stay on the other side of the internet from me.

They are mad :D

This is what happens when true hardcore autists get power. Like the feminazi's whales over on Reddit.

I can't anything find that was active enough. And no, I don't wanna spam/dox them or anything, just curious what they have there.

Edit: Nvm found it.

I was a member of the group since the time I joined this site but then out of no were I get with a banhammer about 2 months ago I did nothing wrong it seems though it happened when queen bitch her self showed up again

Logic people thats logic

or maybe not

:rainbowwild:

3143770 Yeah, people who actually make stories about the 'ponies saving us from ourselves' are horrible excuses of human beings. How can any human being denounce humanity like that? Honestly, the fact that humans made up morals in the first place really defeats their arguments.

Mlp was invented by humans, which means all the morals in the show is human morals, not pony morals. So, TCB doesn't even make sense from any standpoint other than fiction, and if it was just them having fun with a hypothetical scenario I'd be okay with it, but since most of those idiots actually think TCB in real life would be a good thing... Arg!

This is why I love Dropbear's Devine Salvation, because it actually shows just how twisted the idea is, without changing the actual source material! The best parodies are the ones that don't change a thing, but show things from a different perspective.

Well, I know which group I WON'T be checking out now. Banning a person just for signing up? Not cool.

we will always be cable of noticing flaws slightly better then we can avoid creating flaws, since we can't correct flaws we can't see and we can never be perfectly efficient to any standard.

Morals exist because we are capable of noting "bad" things. Since we can decide that something is bad, we inevitably will. Our need to do better causes us to be dissatisfied. People don't like to do nothing, even if we don't know what to do.

As such, only an outside perspective could hypothetically, possibly, do something well enough that we can't see the flaws. This is why someone would wish for salvation from their flawed humanity.

It's the concept of "ascension" that they want, even if it takes the form of color horses, and that seems fairly legit to me.

3545319 Sucks for them that magical 'ascension' will never happen then. You are correct that flaws are noticed more than the good, that is the basis to the psychological quirk of 'the good old days "syndrome"' as well. The days were not, in fact, good, but they just remember the good and forget the bad. This means that they see everything else as worse than it used to be. Sometimes it is worse, but it usually is all in their heads.
