Flarity "L" Series: Post-mortem · 2:00am Jun 10th, 2015
(Psst! If you were waiting for Lust to finish before starting to read, it's finished now!)
And so, we arrive at the end at the end of our massive Flarity journey. Whether you joined when the train was just starting from its station, or the story was already well and truly rolling along, thanks for sticking with me. This project began as only an exercise to write in first person and weave a scene without dialogue, but as you can well see, it became something much larger than that.
As it grew into this three-part romance epic, my goals and aspirations widened. I wanted to write the classic romance "confession" scene but keep the circumstances unique. I wanted to maintain multiple plot arcs through multiple stories. I wanted to write a non-contrived setup to physical intimacy and have that act mean more than base pleasure.
But most of all, I wanted to give back to the ship that's already given me so much. With how comparatively small this ship is compared to others, but how many wonderful stories I've read within it, I felt I had to do my part and write my own story. It's a thought I've had ever since I read Green by Steel Resolve some two and a half years ago.
Whether I was successful in any of those endeavors, however, isn't up to me.
I've thanked the people that helped make this series possible already, but allow me to do it again. If you liked my stories, give them some love as well:
Setokaiva, for proofreading Lust.
Steel Resolve, for proofreading Lust, offering feedback on the intimate scenes, and sending a little more love to the series as a whole. I think he's responsible for a good half of my current followers.
Most of all, Eloquence, for sticking with me since the inception of the series some five months ago. She had a hand in editing every story in this series, and she helped shape it as it stands today. These stories wouldn't be what they are today without her expertise.
So, where do we go from here?
Though Rarity and Fluttershy's journey is finished now, there are still some unanswered questions. How will their lives change now that they're together? What do their friends think on their new relationship? Does Rarity still like stallions? There's a lot left that remains to be said. A lot of problems left to uncover. A lot of story that hasn't been told.
This isn't the last of Rarity and Fluttershy's journey.
I can't give you a realistic timeframe for when the sequel to Rarity and Fluttershy's "L" Series adventures will be released; it could be a month or a year from now. (Everyone needs a break from Flarity every now and then. Except Steel, apparently.) But rest assured that the seed of inspiration remains in my mind, and eventually it will grow.
For whenever that happens, I'd love it if you'd be there with me.
But it's not finished yet....are you still reading?
Speaking of....
Staaaaaaaalking you nooooow~
I have heard rumors he sometimes breaks from Flarity to write a little RariPie set in the Mailverse.
However, I believe the last update occurred with the extinction of the mastodon, so...
