So Tommy Oliver Just Exploded (in a way) · 2:22am Jun 7th, 2015
It's sad how right he is about this fandom. While I haven't personally experienced the wrath of a psycho brony, I have seen them in action; a volatile contradiction of everything this show has taught. Seeing Tommy leave the fandom with a rant on everyone who's ruined the show [for him] makes me wonder how many other well known, long time members of the community will leave and if they'll do so in a similar manner. I wish that everyone who leaves the fandom did so with a strike against all of its stupid, not because I'd [likely] enjoy the spectacle, but because maybe if more people spoke out against the madness, people might change their ways. (Unlikely)
This fandom is either too full of dipshits to be anywhere near good, or those of us who are good do too little against the drooling beasts that make everyone hate us. I wonder how much longer this fandom will retain its remaining sanity and if it'd be a good idea to completely disassociate with anyone and anything that's connected to M.L.P.
Personally, I'll probably keep watching this show (and write fanfiction) regardless of how mad the fanbase becomes, because honestly, no one aside from the show's writers could ruin it for me to the point where I abandon it; I've watched too much to just leave because everyone else in the cinema is a dipshit. However, given the increasing amount of crazy cunt cutting cock clickers involved with the fandom, do I really want to put out my own M.L.P. related content out there on YouTube? Even discounting the shitfaced retarded (no offence to the autistic intended) fucksticks, it'd be an understatement to say that I'm late for the party.
The golden age of the fandom's pretty well over, so what's one to do?
We all knew it would happen eventually. Still, no reason you still can't enjoy it with friends.
All fandoms have splits and members constantly coming and going. Tommy seemed like he was losing interest for a while and wanted move on to other things (especially in season 5) in addition to the fans bugging him. Times change, people change. It's a shame he had to leave with such acid thrown in his direction but here's wishing him the best.
I don't know if the "Golden Age" is over or not. The fans seem just as creative now as ever.
