Damage Control and PS3 Fanfiction · 5:50am Jul 21st, 2012
Sorry for the massive delays and pretty much vanishing for the past month. The post hurricane clean up in my town took longer than expected. In fact, they had to turn my internet off for a few weeks to address the lingering power outages. I'm also fighting with my insurance company disputing tree damage vs hurricane damage. I think this big Fluttershy still in my bedroom is starting to take root. Anyway, please be patient, I'm still writing, but on a PS3, using a controller. Takes a bit (actually a lot) longer.
Now for some good news: Finally found an editor that can handle the massive mindscrew known as Externals. Chapter 0 is coming along nicely and should be out sometime mid August. Chapter Tuesday of Inappropriate (the reason why you guys are following me... right?) went through some severe editing, all for the better. Trust me, your body won't be ready. I have a couple of other one-shots, and a sequel to another one of my stories (guess which one) in the pipe, so look forward to that as well.
I shall defy you: my body is most definitely ready

We'll see... *laughing menacingly*
When I'm done with you, your name will be Pvt. BrickPooper.
Couldn't fit the links to my Externals preview(s) in my blog due to PS3 limitations so posting it here:
Story: External
Chapter: 0 - Prologue
Chapter: ??? - Apples and Oranges
Why don't you plug a USB keyboard into the PS3? That's what I used to do when no computers were available.
Also, looking forward to Innapropriate!

Serious questions before I rush out to buy a keyboard: Will I still be limited to typing a paragraph at a time like with a controller? Can I type everything straight out without going into that mini keyboard screen? I've only had my PS3 for barely a month, so I don't know this stuff.

Well, I can't really remember. I've hit my head once too many in my time... but from what I can recall, you just put the USB part into one of the slots at the front, then... it probably does take you to the on screen keyboard screen, yeah. Not sure about the word limit.
Sorry I couldn't help anymore.
1) You can use a Windows Keyboard with a PS3
2) You can use a Bluetooth Keyboard withe a PS3
3) If you are using FiMFiction directly, there is no limit as to how many words you can type.
4) There are mixed reports that GDocs works on a PS3. I'd give it a shot and see.
Although I have a PS3, it's a media center, not a computer replacement. If you want to turn it into a computer, you might explore installing Linux on it.
