English homework.
Do you think 14 years+ should be able to vote in general elections?
Give your reasons below!
Also, ask friends who you think may say they should be allowed, as I have lots of reasons against it!
3105331 Ik, it's stupid homework
No they shouldn't be able to. They haven't experienced enough of life to be able to vote properly
I agree with scoots. Lack of experience is a valid and important factor and should be considered. However, there is merit in allowing people to make their voice Heard, regardless of age or gender, this is what democracy is all about. But I still have to say that 14 is a Little low of age for voting. In my experience, most people that age doesn't know enough or doesn't really bother with such things (then again, neither do I and I'm 22) with some rare exeptions of course.
Good luck with your homework.
