I just saw the new Mad Max movie last night and good god was it fun! Essentially the movie is one long chase scene. The whole thing has a ton of energy and just leaves you on the edge of your seat. The vehicle designs are really cool and the ideas they have for car-based combat are just some of the most creative things I've seen in a while. The villains have this interesting (bordering on cultish) philosophy and the main baddy builds himself as some sort of messiah. And one of the most impressive things is that the movie barely has any CGI effects in it. I wish I could say more, but I don't want to spoil any of it for you all. Plus, there are too many cool moments to go over in this one post. Honestly, if you're reading this then you need to go see it. It's a ton of fun and it might just be one of my favorite movies for this year.
