Whew. So I've started proofreading and editing stories for people, in real life and on fimfiction. This has been a... mixed bag of experiences, to say the least. Some of the authors that I have dealt with are very well mannered, well spoken, and just overall nice people. Others are... not very good authors. I make no judgement on them as people, but I firmly believe that you should attempt to get a grasp on grammar before trying to share your story with a larger audience. The fact that they are writing is fantastic. Their passion for what they are doing is evident. But they need practice. And not practice writing. They need a textbook, and a 4th grade English teacher. By all means, keep writing, and I will keep editing, and doing my best to encourage you, victims of my vicious red pen (or, in my case, green text editor). But take your time to work on tense, and review your homophones, and all of those lovely little quirks of the misshapen glob of languages we call English.
Hello. I'm new here, but I have a situation. I wrote the story Dino Saurian Rex, but the viewing rate goes up and down every day, and the likes and dislikes are increasing. Can you proofread my story even it's already done?
