I still dont use fimfic anymore but i thought this was funny lol

If you remember me then you remember https://www.fimfiction.net/user/65660/FlanChan too most likely. When Skype died from the burning cancer of irrelevancy I lost contact with her and didn't know how to find her... and then Twitter Dot Com randomly decided that it would recommend a cosplay of hers to me, so we got to talk again after like 4 years of not even knowing how to contact each other.

    PECK. NECK.

I spent 25 hours on A Hat in Time this past week and I don't regret it. Anyone who ever liked Mario Sunshine or any other Gamecube era platformer should pick this up on Steam/XBOX1/PS4. God this game was so good.

Warlords of Draenor: Post Thoughts · 12:07am May 14th, 2015

Warlords of Draenor sure hit the hype train home, didn't it? Unfortunately, the good things I soon learned were few and far between. It's time for some post thoughts about Warlords of Draenor.

First off, may I say that leveling in Draenor is perhaps the best in any expansion. My lord, every land had life to it and you felt like you were making a true impact on the world around you. It was badass, and everything I could have asked for in leveling. Draenor was a place of opportunities, and everything leading up to the endgame content was just explosively amazing. Sadly, that's where it ends.

Level 100. You made it, man, you made it. Through Kalimdor and Eastern Kingdoms you went, adventuring your way to hell and back. Then, the demons came through a scary portal, and after that Arthas himself re-awakened, and even Deathwing woke up. Then, a peaceful stroll and exploration filled adventure in Pandaria, and now, you're ready to take on Grom Hellscream and the rest of the "Warlords of Draenor" if you will. Let's fuckin' do this.

>Looking for Raid
>Queue for Blackhand
>"FOUNDRY MINE SMASH YOU"
>Rekt
>Leave

How fascinating. You can see where I'm going with this. The endgame content is so minimal. So freaking minimal. Professions? Garrison. Gold? Garrison. Gear? Garrison and LFR. Fun? No. Tedious? Yes. I log on to do the same exact thing every week, and ironically, the most fun I have is running old dungeons for gear so I can look badass. The Garrison is so awful it hurts. It's boring because you can't do ANYTHING in it. Building there, done. Follower go on mission, done. Pick herbs from herb garden, done. Absolutely boring as all hell. Garrisons are nothing more than sucking the life out of the game. Blizzard has seem to forgotten what Vanilla and Mists of Pandaria was and what made them both enjoyable: adventure. I'm not a damn commander, I'm an adventurer! I want a house, not a "garrison", and it's simply wrong.

Now, they're trying to milk out the rest of this boring ass expansion so the next one is ready because this one was such a failure. If you want my verdict, here you go:

Warlords of Draenor is a game that many MMO's try and fail to be, but the endgame content will make you wonder why you play the game. If you plan on joining, build yourself a new character without heirlooms if you have an account. That's where you will get what you asked for. Lv 100 is a disaster, and it makes you want to play your other characters that have to have their own Garrison, so you must manage all 6 of your 100s Garrisons. Horrendous. Blizzard knows they cannot screw up this bad again.

Final verdict: Try it out, but play with moderation. 7.5/10
And if you do play: my Battle ID is CaptainMaybe#1271

>tfw playing wow steadily since 2010
>tfw you are so shit at it and get bored so easily that you switch to other characters really often that you've never gotten higher than level 67
>tfw you lost your old account and on the new one only mansged to get to level 62 so far
>tfw you've never actually experienced any of the expansions past burning crusade

>tfw you win your Guild's makethemostcreativeandcoollookingcharacter contest and get a $250 mount for it.
>tfw you have fashion sense.

Feels good.

I just want better view distances.

Burning Crusade to later expansions like Mists or Draenor is like taking your first shit at McDonalds to taking your first shit at a 5-Star $$$$ steak house. :raritywink:

3068536 I honestly think BC was really good on the difficulty scale but for casual players it was ass. Now if we compare Wrath to Mists or Draenor it's like taking your first shit in the gold bathroom of the King of England compared to taking your first shit in a trailer park

3068536 BC is actually my favorite expansion, I've seen gameplay of all the others and of course done the starting areas for new characters/death knight shit. I know all the lore like the back of my hand, and at this point it's fucking laughable. Mists was a huge disappointment and actually kind of cringey. BC and Wrath are really neat, Cataclysm fucked over a ton of stuff but overall didnt suck, mists was a disaster and Warlords is trying to salvage that with mixed results.

I guess this is what i get when i play for story and not gameplay.

it does baffle me how there are so many people who grind raids and dungeons and shit like that and don't stop to appreciate WoW. WoW is literally the most boring, receptive game ever when you remove the lore aspects.

3069011 I totally agree. And you know, as stupid as the reason to GOING to Draenor was, they did a good job with quest lore, but oherwise, there is NOTHING to do outside raiding and minding your boring ass garrison. New difficulty level? Couldn't give a fuck. Innovation for gameplay is the key to these games and if there's nothing new, then it's stupid. I'm actually going back and doing all the quests in Westfall and Duskwood because I'm fuckin' bored with the lack of content.

I like the classic dungeons, and farming old stuff, and I was actually pretty interested in Archaeology as a way to get more lore stuff, but it ends up being a great way to get a shit ton of gold if you have the patience. I actually returned to playing, in the official this time, with a Starter account, and I already got to the limits of the account with a Sunwalker.

I will admit that the game has become a bit simpler in some aspects, and in some parts I have enjoyed it and can understand and appreciate it, even if I had to relearn how paladins work now. While we have left behind the "without X class we can't do this raid" which we had in the beginning, which made some raids much harder with a lack of certain classes. I was quite annoyed when I was tanking and people said "uh, no, we need a druid tank for this" and stuff like that but anyways. Most people will only go to the old dungeons for achievement points, only a few of them, of the old school, will actually go and go for the transmog stuff, I will go for the awesome Tier 2 set; by far my favorite.

I stopped playing in WotLK, so I missed all the Cata and MoP stuff. I rolled some of the characters from the new races, and it's since BC when they began giving some backstory, minimum as it might be at first, and then giving a massive storyline in their own starting zones, which I really love, since it gets you attached to the characters and all.

I haven't heard much of the garrisons, but it looks as if you were going for the classic city management game in the middle of the WoW game? I will admit that I am surprised of the lack of content when it comes to the endgame, even with the coming 6.2 patch. But aye, a lot of hit and miss we've been having here in WoD.
