Seven years ago, Sober and I started posting chapters of No Longer Displaced. It's hard to believe it has already been that long, but it's not hard to recognize the profound impact writing that story had on my life. Sober and I randomly hurled our characters into a chat, kept experimenting with those interactions, and within a

    Eyyyy, the 28th.

A year ago, Sober and I finished the NLA publication run. It happened to coincide with my orbit day.

Here's to another year of such an amazing, motivating friendship.

Been working on a website for the No Longer stories, and it's looking quite clean. HTML has come a long way with CSS. :3

    BronyCon 2019: Into the Storm

Hi there! Been a bit! I'll be at BronyCon. For some reason, the convention gave me a panel. It's Physicists Invade Equestria in the Hall of the Moon from 5-6 PM on Thursday. Come on by for some lighthearted science if you're down for it.

And don't worry, I have a nice slip out point for those who want to experience the line for opening ceremonies.

A Pretty Good Week or Two · 9:51pm May 12th, 2015

Things have definitely been a bit interesting since I wrote my last blog post. I'm sure the vast majority out there have no idea - because I wouldn't expect them to - but I am the host of World of Equestria's weekly episode stream. During the last ep's festivities, we finally topped the 100,000 viewer mark, hitting that exciting plateau in 28 showings. Of course, as thanks to the masses, I sang 'Let it Go' from Disney's Frozen, much to the chagrin of all those in attendance.
On the writing front, I manged to finally churn out Installment 13 of A State of Darkness, and I watched with much surprise as it broke into the featured box. I owe that one to my friends on this site - all of whom have been incredibly supportive. The motivation a happy comment can bring to my mind is pretty damn staggering, so suffice it to say I was elated to receive this news. I'm fairly certain I squeed at Crystal and Tea. A 29-year-old doctor of physics makes a very strange squee-er indeed. :P
If that was not enough excitement, Anzel released the sequel to Memoirs of a Royal Guard, and it has skyrocketed in a blaze of beautiful glory with such fervor that I'm not really sure I can adequately encapsulate the feels in words. I already described in my first blog entry that I felt as though Memoirs set a benchmark for OC guard stories, and I don't think it's a stretch to say that Secrets will do the same.
Already, there are undertones that the sequel will carry a bit more grit than its predecessor - if the title was not a strong enough indication of that. While good ol' Silent Knight has had a great deal of success snagging his commission, it's pretty damn clear that some sort of drive for vengeance has been firmly implanted in his mind. My only substantial complaint about this one - if you can even call it that - is that you really need to read Memoirs if you want to fully enjoy Secrets. I'm sure that its plot will stand on its own just fine, and I know that the writing will be solid because it's Anzel; but the warmth, love, appreciation, etc for those characters all came to be in Memoirs. What that means, script fillies and colts, is that you should just go read both. Ha! See what I did there? ;) </shameless>

Leave it to me to forget to mention that A State of Darkness also got accepted into The Goodfic Bin and Nonpareil Fiction. There be some ribbons for this!
