Well, I tried it...
I sent "Derpy Meets The Doctor" to Equestria Daily...
And it was rejected...with a link to their acceptance guidelines...
Nope.
I won't change one word of the story all of you enjoy...period.
Little secret...I have a professional writer who helps me on stories. Yes, a professional. She still works in the entertainment industry, and has written stories. Stories she has been paid for. She has been a story editor for a series most of you are very aware of. She has also worked in other places, sold novels, and edited well known authors. And when I get stuck, or need advice, I go to her.
I'm not gonna drop names.
But if she likes what I do, and so do you, that's enough. I wish I could get this story more widespread exposure, but I'm not gonna sell the Royal Messenger and The Mad Pony in the Blue Box out for it.

Eqd is very picky about what stories they have on their site and sometimes it's the reviewer who let's their personal opinions get in the way of a good story getting on their site. You have us here so to enjoy your stories so let eqd miss out on it.
Eh. I haven't anything to do with that site for years. No big loss.
Honestly, nowadays you might as well forget about sending stories to EQD
Most of the time all it's good for is news; besides, there's plenty of EQD ponies that browse FiMFiction, so odds are you're not missing a lot of readers
