Do you have a character you headcanon as trans?

And that no amount of canon evidence will convince you otherwise?

    Happy Pride Month!

Aight, first pride out of the trans closet. I should probably add some serious words. Maybe share my own experience coming out twice in my 30's, and overall try and reach people either on a similar situation, or open the space for each one to talk about their experience too.

But honestly, it's been a low energy day, so enjoy this meme and if you feel like sharing, I'm all ears:

    Looking back...

Maybe there were signs about being trans I should have paid attention to.

Sylveon being a trans icon since the beginning

Today I learned that Sylveon's type was a debate before it was revealed they were the new fairy type. And in a way, that feels like the most trans way to reveal the little gender 'mon.

Sylveon literally went through an speculation phase before coming out.

Actually, I'm dead: Chapter 2 delayed till Sunday (sorry guys) · 1:57am May 10th, 2015

Well, today has been one of those days, you which one. The kind of day when you try to rise from bed but instead fall out of it and receive a cold 'good morning punch' from the floor. Then you get up and everything is downhill from there. So, with all the delaying distractions of the day, I just now can finally sit down and write, which means that there's no way in heaven or hell that I can manage to get the full chapter finished before midnight, so no chapter for you this Saturday. Again, sorry.

BUT!

Since you have been all so kind and supportive and all that, I'll give you something to read instead. What? A lame countdown joke Top 11 Theories of what happened to Trixie. Why top eleven? Because the nostalgia Critic is AWESOME! So, sit down, enjoy and try to figure out which one is the real or if it even is one of these.

#11: Vampire

#10: Hellspawn

#9: Ghost

#8: Blank

#7: Swamp Thing

#6: Brain in a robot body

#5: Skeleton

#4: Patchwork pony, a.k.a. Frankenstein monster

#3: Black Lantern

#2: Whatever the heck this is

#1: None of the above
Come on, guys and gals, I bet that you also have your own theories. Comment below and let me know.

#10! WE NEED MORE SPAWN STUFF ON THIS SITE! (Not the Todd MacFarlene run but the Spawn X run... which was better and more awesome.... sorry Todd. You make kick ass art.... but story telling is not your thing.)

Well it skipped my mind for a second that Trixie had become a wraith. That's if I recall correctly an undead creature similar to a vampire though way more gaunt looking and feeds on souls rather then blood. (In the mlp universe you could make it magic rather then souls.)

Good example of a rather famous wraith anti hero is Raziel from the game Soul Reaver 1, 2 and Legacy of Kain Defiance.

Click here to read about the wraith Raziel.

To be honest, I liked McFarlane's early run. Let's say before Spawn went to hell (#50) and the story's quality followed him. Also, the art got better and less "this is the nineties!" when Capullo took the pencils.

About Spawn X, I have mixed feelings; in one hand, I love how it manages to tell an old fashioned 'hero=goo, villain=bad' story and still being faithful to the Spawn mythos. On the other hand, there's something off in making Spawn, the military assassin who died and went to Hell, then made a Deal with the Devil in order to return to Earth, a kids friendly story.

Well, that would suck for everypony involved.

3058406
Hmm, you got me curious. And a writer curious can be a very dangerous thing.

3058866 True. Also the part about the story going to shit at #50.... that's KINDA what I meant. Also I agree that the artwork got better overtime.... but the story REALLY didn't move forward that much honestly.

Yeah, and too bad. There were some very neat Spawn stories before the "Spawn goes to hell" arc. One of my favorites was, by far, Spawn vs the KKK. It was one of the first times a comic left me breathless.

3060002 I mean it's one thing to make that group turn on one another... it's another to TURN ONE OF THEM INTO ANOTHER RACE AND WATCH THEM TEAR EACH OTHER APART.... IT WAS GLORIOUS.

3060011
And what about the immortal "Boys screamed and girls screamed. So I made him scream, and scream, and scream..."?

Spawn represents all the good parts of the Darker and Edgier wave from the Nineties. Constructing a story, instead of being just overused clichés.

3060043 I prefer the animated series personally. It kept the Anti-Hero stuff... but actually TRIED to make him a bad ass hero as well.

3060047
Multiple versions, from lighter and softer to darker and edgier, open to interpretation and a story extense enough to be considered a myth. Spawn truly is his age's Batman.

Too bad that Miller was already mad when he wrote the crossover. It could have been so EPIC! under a writer who actually respected both characters.

3060054 Yes! Also... Violator is EASILY one of my favorite villains to hate... just because he LOVES his job.
