So I was getting something out of my daughter's room and had to move one of her MLP toys. Pretty standard stuff, except before I moved the toy I addressed it as if it was real.

How I see it. Insane is made of two root words. "In" and "Sane". So if you're insane then you're "inside" sanity, that'd make you super sane. (Since you're not "out"sane) XD.
But yeah, I personally dress up my Rainbow Dash doll in clothing, and give oragami toys to my mlp toys so they don't feel lonely. So addressing Flutters is perfectly polite.
