My Little Pony:FiM Season 5 Episode 5 & My Thoughts. · 9:06pm Apr 28th, 2015
I think this is obvious but...
I'm not really a reviewer or anything so don't expect Game Theory type examination, okay?
Now first things first, if you haven't seen the episode yet then you can watch it here.
Firstly, I think this is my favourite episode of the season so far. Feel free to disagree though, this isn't a dictatorship.
I think it really shows a side to RD that we rarely ever see. That beneath all that boasting and bragging, she's got a heart. And it's obvious that losing Tank meant a hell of a lot to her. I honestly felt my heart break slightly when Rainbow cried. If you don't find it sad then you have no soul.
Those slippers are adorable!
She cares enough to pretty much destroy the Weather Factory. And that's pretty damn serious too! It's the place that provides weather for all of Equestria so its obviously a government building. That'd be like me blowing up Westminster or 10 Downing Street. If this was real, SunButt would not be amused.
The episode had more than enough humour to keep me alert. With moments like RD arguing with Spike why he isn't hibernating, Applejack crying on the inside and to top it all of with Rainbow's angry face.
Does this look like the face of mercy?
And then there was the song, which I thoroughly enjoyed.
It was good to listen too and I think I can honestly say this is my favourite song of the season so far.
Now many will say that Rainbow was acting selfish and only caring about herself, and I agree with that. For a time she did only do the things she did because she wanted her pet not to leave. But you can't stop nature. And she eventually comes to terms with it, with a little help from our 5 favourite other ponies of course!
So yeah, overall I enjoyed this video and honestly can't wait for the next three episodes! 
"Appleoosa's Most Wanted"
In hopes of getting their cutie marks, the Cutie Mark Crusaders attempt to apprehend a wanted criminal in Appleloosa.
Totally nothing possible of going wrong there. 
"Make New Friends but Keep Discord"
Discord tries to show that he is not jealous when Fluttershy takes a different friend than him to the Grand Galloping Gala.
There's Discord. What more of an explanation do you need?
"The Lost Treasure of Griffonstone"
Conflicting ideas arise when Rainbow Dash and Pinkie Pie are called by the map to the city of Griffonstone.
Rainbow and Pinkie are going to a city called Griffinstone. Does anybody see a resemblance with the town names of Ponyville and Griffinstone? And also, it's in the name. Griffins everywhere! Not only that, only Pinkie and Rainbow are mentioned. And we all know the one griffin they've both had encounters with before!
Your body. Prepare it.
Anyway, that's the end of this! Feel free to comment on this episode and the upcoming episodes and if you liked this, maybe I'll do another. Only time will tell.

This is one of those episodes that was very divisive, with people either loving it or hating it.
Personally, I liked it. It was heartwarming, funny (the references were amazing), had a good song, and dealt with an issue in probably the best way that a kid's show can. The feeling of loss is something that hits me hard, and even though we/she knows that Tank is going to be fine, I understand where she is coming from and why she did what she did. While I think Rainbow might have gone a bit too far, I still think it was a good episode.

Just another thing to add to the long list of things I'm not good at. Anyway, what are your thoughts on the upcoming episodes?

But yeah, the upcoming episodes sound good. I love episodes with the CMC, I love episodes with Discord and seeing him evolve as a character, and I really want to see a new area where another species lives.
