My Readers Rock! · 6:31am Apr 26th, 2015
Thank you so much, everyone! Ever since I wrote A Fragile Heart a year ago I've been consistently and pleasantly surprised by the love it's received from readers. I'm still blown away that Scribbler recorded a dramatic reading, and now with this Royal Canterlot Library feature my little story about Sad Fry Pony officially has more views than it has words, which is incredible. On top of that, there are now 60 of you crazy, excellent people following me, which is a number I never imagined I'd see in that little box. I originally wrote A Fragile Heart for a friend and hosted it here on a whim, and I'm grateful to every last one of you who has read it and made this such a wonderful experience for me. You guys are the best.
So far I've only really dipped my toes in the pool when it comes to writing fanfic. All the stories I've written have been inspired by prompts from other sources in one form or another - friends, followers, events, etc. - and I haven't exactly been prolific, but I'd like to change that a bit. I've been working on improving my writing habits and writing more often, and as a part of that I think I'm going to try to work fanfiction into my writing a little more than I have in the past. I've still got a lot of non-pony-related writing to do, of course, but I've got quite a few MLP ideas rattling around in my brain and I think it's high time I got them out of there and onto the page. I'm headed across the country tomorrow to be in my brother's wedding, so I won't have a lot of writing time for the next week or so, but when I come back and settle into my regular routine again I'm going to make it a point to carve out some space in that routine for the horse words and see what happens.
All that to say, keep your eyes peeled, friends. And again, most importantly, thank you for letting me share my stories with you. I'm so glad you stopped by.
