Remember the elves who make your toys.
After seeing The Descendant's userpage I feel compelled to write about this. I know that not many of my blog posts get read and well, that's fine, but for the few that do stumble upon the blog posts I do, I'd like to encourage any of the new writers following me to thank any of the pre-readers that approve your stories (and to any that are rejected).
As The Descendant puts it, 'they probably have one of the hardest jobs on the site', not that any of the other jobs aren't also hard in running the site, but just bear in mind that these people are doing this free as well and in their own time. So give all the pre-readers a nod of thanks and please appreciate what they do from time to time, because think about all the stories that get approved, now roughly triple that number and add an undisclosed variable and that's how many they probably have to go through.
So once again, thank them, you can do so by clicking the little 'reply' button when your story gets approved. Also, be nice to them, they're trying to help you too if your story is lacking something. It helps your story if its properly laid out and at least bare-bones moderated :D
As always, I'm available to chat on Skype 'hackloaded'. If you want to discuss things with me or if you simply need some help with your story (bear in mind I might not have time to edit, but hey any help is good help, right?).
Pre-readers are basically white blood cells, there's less of them but they're important in keeping everything running smoothly

Hmmm, need to get my story improved but I haven't found any help yet. Some people say it's more like a screenplay than a novel and I need help with that. eh. haven't written a word for a week now.
Both of my stories have been approved, actually. The first is on Hiatus until I feel more confident with my writing skills, an the other is a one-shot.
