Disturbing Inconsistency about Cutie Marks in MLP. · 6:12am Apr 22nd, 2015
Ok, I got to thinking of the current season of MLP (5) and how it runs with past seasons. I found something that I at least find a bit disturbing in the continuity. MLP has usually been very good about continuity, mostly through references. However a core fundamental idea has gone astray.
SEASON 3 FINALE Magical Mystery Cure
With the mix up of Cutie Marks, each of the Mane 6 (minus Twilight) starts doing another ponies job based on Cutie Mark.
Rarity doing Rainbow Dash's weather job. She still retained her sense of style, which was the basis of her not doing well at that job.
Then Fluttershy, though without her cutie mark, still managed to communicate and wrangle the animals.
SEASON 5 PREMIER The Cutie Map.
The Mane 6 get their Cutie Marks taken from them.
Suddenly Rarity has no sense of fashion.
Fluttershy cannot communicate with animals.
This is a glaring inconsistency on what Cutie Marks purposes are.
Er. What now? I think you're just not understanding rather than there being a mistake.
