I Know I've Been Quiet, But.... · 6:42am Apr 21st, 2015
Since posting chapter 4 of Jeanne's story "Then Their Was You", I've been busy writing away. While my free time hasn't really improved that much, I've found a few pockets of time here and there. Over the past two weeks, I've been hammering out an average of 500 words a day, some days as much as 800-1,000. At first I was following my muse and working diligently on chapter 5 of Jeanne's story, which is sitting at a little over 3,000 words. And not to fear, I haven't lost my drive for her story, not in the least. But, seeing as my oldest story is in need of updating, Luna's story - "A Total Eclipse of Their Hearts", I've been pouring my inspiration into chapter 13 of her story. And I've spent all the time I could muster on working on the next update for Luna.
Things for ATEoTH have been going great. In fact, Sunday night following some brainstorming as I showered, I exploded with creative drive and following an edit of what I had of chapter 13, and adding almost 300 words, I spent a solid ninety minutes doing what I love and added over 2,500 words, thus finishing the rough draft. So, now I'm going to be editing and preping the next chapter. Not sure when I'll be ready to post it, but it should be ready no later than the end of the month, if not sooner. Also, I'm planning on starting the draft for chapter 14 as soon as I can. There is so much yet to be told in this story. If all of you only knew what I've had cooking on the back burner. I thank a number of movies, animes and TV series for helping me to rekindle my drive for Luna's story, which ultimate will tie in with Celestia and Jeanne's stories down the road.
I can't say exactly where I'm heading, but I plan to stick with my four ongoing fics for now. I may jot down ideas for other stories and as my inspiration strikes, churn out the odd one-shot, but for now I'd like to complete one of my four big fics. Jeanne's will probably come last in the order, seeing as it's last chronologically and because I see it going even further than Luna's story, which will have a very nice length till all is said and done.
Oh, before I forget, I have two more things to mention about Jeanne's story. First, seeing as how popular her story has become, I've decided to axe all the fetish content from it. I just don't think it'll do the story justice. And I want to grow as a writer, so leaving it out will attract more readers, plus I mainly was going to use it as a tribute to her creator, but he's pretty much gone from the fandom 100% now, and since he's entrusted her care to me, I want Jeanne to go as far as she can. So that's the plan there. Now for the next big piece of news! A few months ago, to my great surprise, I was approached by an artist on here. 2135D PM'd me and told me how he was a big fan of Jeanne's story, and he offered to make a cover for me. After sketching some concept art and a few possible cover ideas, and even sketching one I had in mind, I've chosen a cover that he'll be working on finalize for me over the next week or so. I have to say he's done some amazing work. You should check out his deviant Art gallery on his user page. He's really talented, and he can draw humans as well. xD Once the cover is ready, I'll share it on a blog, and am planning to debut it along with chapter 5 of Jeanne's story.
There's a lot going to be happening in the days to come and beyond. I know I've been out of sorts for a while, but I'm finally getting back there. Let's hope things continue as they've been and then I can finally bring you all some more updates. I'm also going to try to be more active in blogging on here as well. I'm hoping to do weekly blogs and keep you all abreast of my progress.

That's one of many techniques I use to either get the creative juices flowing or to make it past those bothersome writer's block hurdles.

Well, as long as I can write a few hundred words a day I'll be making progress. And if my creativity continues to arch as high as it's been, it won't be impossible for me to have sessions where I churn out 2,500 words or more. xD

Yes, it does. In fact I keep forgetting to post the pictures of the other plushie I had commissioned of Jeanne last spring. I don't even remember if I ever posted any pics of her to my tumblr page for that matter.
