I am not dead.

So I guess you might have been wondering why my stories have not been updated in a while.

Where to begin….

2015 has thus far been a big fat steaming pile of horseapples for me.

Work is stressing me out in a big time. I am involved in a large project that had started last year. Now things are becoming more and more stressful the closer the deadline in November gets.

I am part of a global harmonization process for all of our systems worldwide. Every production plant and all of the offices are supposed to work the same way with the same system needed to keep everything running smoothly.

That may sound easy on paper and like an interesting job. It is not….

I am a little control planner that now has found himself in a huge mess that in many cases am not qualified or knowledgeable enough for to reach any good solutions. Why did I get that project?

I am reasonably good in communicating in English. Yes….that was the major contributing factor in me being selected to represent our location. Higher powers did not want to have any discussion about it and now I am stuck here. Fan-flipping-tastic.

So I do what I can and try to get the answers for any problems from people that actually known anything about the problem that is the most pressing. It is a back and forth constantly with me in the middle translating everything from English to German and back again.

Everything is supposed to be finished and up and running in November of this year. I would laugh at that, but honestly I have a bad feeling that the inevitable delay will be partly blamed on me in some way.

That is one thing….the other thing is that my girlfriend has moved out shortly before Easter.

It lasted 8 years, but shortly after Christmas last year things turned sour. It had been a very long time brewing and finally the pot had boiled over. Despite various attempts at patching things up, it was clear that it simply wouldn’t work out. I don’t really want to go into any details as it is still a fresh wound and needs some healing before I feel comfortable to talk about it.

Needless to say it has not put me in the best of moods to write anything pony related let alone anything that could qualify as comedy.

But life goes on.

I have not abandoned the fandom. And I most certainly have not given up on my stories. I just didn’t have the time or mindset to continue writing them. I hope you understand and are not too disappointed at the severe lack of updates.

Pony’s have been a very valuable source of comfort to me in the last few weeks. I have binge out on blind commentaries for the early seasons almost the entire last week.

I am aware that season 5 has started. Up until now I have not yet seen any of the episodes yet and have been successful in avoided all spoilers. All I know are the episode titles. Once my microphone arrives on Monday or Tuesday I shall be joining the ranks of youtubers doing blind commentaries.

It most certainly should help me get back in the mood for writing pony. Since I now have a lot of time at home after work to do just that, you can hopefully expect an update to my stuff soon-ish.

Hope you understand my lack of updates and have not abandoned all hope in seeing Fleur resolve her pressing issues (see what I did there?) and seeing more of Scoot in Ponyville’s air shelter.
