City of Shadows Prequel... · 12:16am Apr 16th, 2015
Hey folks, NintendoGal55 here.
Well, in my attempt to submit City of Beginnings, they rejected it because of the fact that it seems to fail resembling an MLP fanfic. If they just changed around a few things, yeah, obviously it would seem less like one. :< Well, that was our bad. XP Oopsie... They’re not wrong, it kind of is like that, isn’t it?
Again, oops.
However, that doesn't mean you will go without seeing it! The story is on Google Docs, all finished, and ready for viewing!
You can contact either myself or FlutterGuy89, and we'll be sure to link you to the document in question. Send either one of us a PM! :3 Thanks so much for your support, folks! It's greatly appreciated. ^w^ Take care!
That was quite enjoyable. The dialogue felt really natural; I think you guys have definitely improved since City of Shadows!
I thought the case with Scootaloo was a really nice idea. One of my favorite bits was when the waitress asked Scootaloo what she thought of Dash and she replied “I think I want to be her.” Ahaha I think everyone wants to be Rainbow Dash a little bit.
I did kind of expect Dash to do a double take when she heard Fluttershy talk on TV, thinking back to the woman at the diner. Of course she'd end up shrugging it off in the end, but it still would have been an interesting little moment.
I enjoyed getting a glimpse of what one of Dash's normal cases is like. And now I kind of want a one shot from Fluttershy's perspective from before they meet too.
Overall, nice job!
2990121 Huh, we hadn't thought of that! But that's a very good point, it would be interesting to delve into Fluttershy's perspective on things. Especially taking place before and after the store robbery! You know what, I'll talk about it with FG and we'll see what we can do! Thanks for the idea!
And thank you for your feedback! It's a good point, maybe RD would've been a bit more taken aback by hearing her voice. XD I guess you can argue that she was getting tipsy and not overly quick to react? Still, that's an interesting thought!
