New My Little Pony Episode · 12:07am Apr 14th, 2015
I am pretty sure most of you have seen the new episode of MLP: Castle Sweet Castle. And honestly this episode is worth analyzing. (If you haven't seen the episode yet, I suggest you don't read on)
So this episode was good but had flaws. I think I am going to go over the flaws first.
1. Now this was the most major flaw in the whole episode. Doesn't this episode remind anyone of a different show? This episode is just like Spongebob. You know that episode when his house rots or whatever and all of his friends volunteered to rebuild and redecorate. Then his house has contributions from Sandy, Mr. Krabs, and Patrick. BUT THEY DIDN'T GIVE A HOOT ABOUT WHAT SPONGEBOB LIKED!!! ONLY WHAT THEY LIKED!!!
Sandy added all that crappy technology, I could have sworn Patrick left rocks, and Mr. Krabs put stuff from the Krusty Krab in there. Then the house was all crappy. In this episode of My Little Pony Applejack, Rarity, Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie, and Fluttershy added everything from their homes to Twilight's home. I mean it is just like they were implying to move in. I sort of admire Rarity's contribution, but Fluttershy, Rainbow, Pinkie, and Applejack's contributions were just plain useless.
Twilight clearly doesn't want a castle full of animals, hidden party cannons, or Rainbow's trophies and Wonderbolt posters. And of coarse Applejack would bring apples, I mean really. And then in the end they realize that it is not their house and they just wanted the home to feel like the old home, and they ended up putting the old home in the new castle. What!?!
2. The episode clearly ignored some of it's dialogue.
That one scene when they were trying to figure out what Twilight wanted in a home and they all mentioned books; and what did they think of putting on the house? THE ROOTS OF THE STUPID TREE!!!
3. Pinkie being Pinkie.
She had to mention the memory of Twilight's house blowing up. And it would be funny if they put that memory in the chandelier . And then how do you accidentally drop a measuring spoon in the batter and bake it into the pancake? A pancake it flat, and a measuring spoon can't fit in a pancake.
Okay. Now that I got that off of my chest, lets get to the good parts of the show.
1. Pancakes!!!!!!
2. THEY FINALLY GAVE ALOE A LINE!!!!! >INSERT FANGIRL SQUEAL<
And it wasn't just one line. HASBRO FINALLY GOT IT RIGHT!!! AND IT FIT HER CHARACTER!!! Not like Octavia's line in Rainbow Rocks because everyone knows that fans everywhere were disappointed.
3. Poor Spike!
I know this should probably go in the negatives but I think it was just funny. Bulk Biceps destroyed him! The mane 6 made him suffer.
4. It covered a topic that I am pretty sure that lots of people were wondering about. This episode was nice, a bit crazy, but that is just my opinion.
Overall: Good Episode 4/5 hearts
